Tav

I am completely impartial on this matter, infact theres a side of me that would like to see bournemouth stay up in classic underdog fashion. However, I just don't see it happening.

I think to have a reasonable chance of staying up you have to be better than the two other clubs who have come up and hope another club like everton has a stinker. Forest and fulham are miles ahead of bournemouth and the other clubs who traditionally might struggle like the brighton's and crystal palace's of the division look very strong.

I had them as a bottom three team, but it looks like they might have just done enough to stay up. Fair play to them and Tav has been a key player for them, I expected he would do well because he’s a proper athlete and a good player. Hate seeing Gary O’Neill do well though
Just reading back you thought there could have troubled the worst team in premiership history.

But those comments above hit the nail on the head

Saw most of the game. Bournemouth deserved the win. Tav played his part and has adapted surprisingly well to the premier league. O’Neil has done a good job. Never had him down as a manager type, but well deserved.

Always thought Tav's game was more suited to the Premier League. A natural athlete and good pro. I feel like we should've got more money for him than we did.

It’s not surprising at all. He was always a classy player for us who worked harder than anyone else in the team for the full 90 minutes plus injury time. Unfortunately some of the players around him just weren’t able to make the most of his talents. We were talking last night about how suited he would have been to Ramsey’s role in the current team.

Yes. Shame he never got to play in Carrick’s Boro team. I think he could have played a few positions well in this team. However he had made up his mind in the summer that he wanted premier league footy, so we had little choice. It seemed at the time that only Bournemouth were interested.

I’ll tell you what though, if they do go down and we went up might tav fancy coming back here or would we fancy having him back. ?

Interesting question 🤔

He's class, would walk into our team and be the best player

He is playig at prem level....is anybody in our squad that level honestly?

They won’t go down. Not his biggest fan but O Neil is doing a good job.

Where would he go? I wouldn’t swap any of Ramsey, McGree, Chuba, Forrs or Hackney out for him, and I don’t think he could do the Howson role. So I’m not sure where he would walk into our team, let alone be the best player.

Akpom is playing above championship level and will perform in the Prem next season for us or someone else. That I have no doubt.

He would walk into the team. He’s an excellent player.

I hate the way some fans talk about the premier league as though it’s this mythical land filled with super stars.

It’s not there’s a lot of very average players in it and teams as well. don’t swallow the sky hype.

This might be controversial but not having the tav factor was arguably one of carricks biggest pluses. As unlike wilder who couldn’t bridge the void and fill the gap left by tav, carrick never had a gap to fill as he never had him in the first place.

So carrick picked from what we had not worried about what he’d lost.
