The absence of Becks

Who decides what is on the pumps? Is it the brewery that drives the agenda and what we drink or is it demand?

I find the take off of madri surprising but it seems to be the premium lager in a lot of places now.

Madri was bought by the Coors group looking for a premium beer line... hence the rapid take off as they have spent millions on advertising and dealing with pub companies already supplying Coors

Doesn't most lager taste the same? I mean I'm partial to one on a hot summers day and I might be able to tell the difference between a good German/Czech lager compared to the standard supermarket lagers but genuinely don't think I could tell the difference between Becks, Madri, Heineken, San Miguel etc

Yes, the same as how most beers taste the same if you're not a beer lover. Though there's always that time that you fancy one.
