If it was as easy to navigate through this situation as some of the political experts on here seem to think, then I Starmer would have slammed the government.
He didn't. I thought it was a good insight. I was impressed with him actually.
Nah, no way, the tactics for this would be completely wrong for an opposition party. It's just not the time for that, there's literally nothing to gain by them doing that now, and the Tory press would no doubt just brand it insensitive and then the Corbyn haters (not Labour haters) would just end up being Starmer haters.
That's what's been impressive by Starmer, he's actually playing it right, and convincing people that were anti Corbyn.
He's also giving the press very little ammo, so much so that some of the Tory press are even questioning the Tories in parts. The papers seem to follow just to the right of where that movable section of voters are in the middle of Labour/ Tories. If the Corbyn haters move back over towards Labour, then they will still peddle out Tory crap, but it will be a lot less hard right.
