THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW - 2022 - OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICAL RUMOURS

Thought we might have brought in another midfielder & defender.

Crookes, Howson, Tavernier, Payero, Boyd-Munce, McGree, Malley, Siliki

Dijksteel, Fry, McNair, Peltier, Bamba, Bola, Hall, Wood

Glad we kept hold of Tav, Fry & McNair like!

Means that Payero and maybe even Siliki will get game time now. Can't be too disappointed:

IN:
- Taylor renewed until end of season. Fills a problem position, and we aren't tied down with a 33 year old next season
- Riley MGree, a tricky ball carrier from midfield with a bit of flair, something we've lacked for a while, and can slot it in at 10 or even LWB. Plenty of scope for him to improve and be worth more in 2 years
- Boyd-Munce, good project already has a bit of game time under his belt at Champ level, low fee, plenty of scope for profit
- Connolly and Balogun two young hungry strikers to give us real option up top
- Bilongo, promising young left sided player

OUT:
- Browne, never fit enough to get a run, but good luck to him, perm move so a few quid for us
- Ikpeazu, out on loan, wages off the bill, hopefully does enough for a permanent transfer
- William Kokolo, good move for him, nominal fee probably
- Stojanovic, invisible man out the door and wages subsidised
- Fletcher, Folarin and Kavanagh out getting experience
- Coulson, gets himself in the shop window at Peterborough, will leave in the summer
- Wing out the door, which is good for his career, he wasn't good enough for us

The best thing about this is a couple of players out who were never likely to play for us, and we haven't committed to any players that we wouldn't want long term.

I wouldn’t be disappointed but there were a few players who I’d have loved for us to go for that could’ve made a big difference to our squad. Suppose if we had made our signings tonight and not the first two weeks it would look different.

Nailed it👍. If we'd signed Connelly / Balogun and McGree yesterday we'd be buzzing.

Instead we've had a month to get them training and settled (well not McGree). It's madness how many move hours before it slams shut. Also more so how many fall through 'as not enough time'. The window has been open a month.

We have more than enough to challenge. We may need a bit of luck with injuries to 'key' players but doesn't everyone.

You'd say we've been as active as anyone over the last 2 windows. We are better than we where this time last year👍

I miss this window already. Had most of you lot's dirty finger marks all over it and it was me who had to polish it up before I closed it properly. You can't do that in any kind of namby pamby way. You have to scrub it clean and then SLAM the window shut. And I DID that. Because I'm always looking after you fellas. I'm really underappreciated on here.

Who do you think you are ?

Bournemouth overcompensating for something here..

Comparable with our own: Brynn, Wood, Balogun, Connolly & McGree
plus we got.. Taylor, Bilongo & Boyd-Munce

I think we’ve had a better window tbh.. theirs looks good on paper and has all the players that have been linked with other clubs over the past two seasons.

That looks fantastic business by Bournemouth, looks like a do or die though, if they don't get promoted could be in lots of difficulty
Freddie Woodman - Lumley is better

Nat Philips - Fry is better

Siriki Dembélé - McGree is better

Todd Cantwell - Tavernier is better

Keiffer Moore - Balogun is better

close.. but no cigar
