Who do you think you are ?
Sue Gray...
You KNOW who I am Nobby. I'm Steve Bumface. I only dress as Sue Gray every now and again and it's purely recreational. Not like I'm addicted to it or anything like that. I'm only addicted to cigs and booze. Crossdressing is just a hobby for me. Pay up Nobby. I'm getting sick of waiting now and I have bills to pay myself. I know that the word 'bills' gets you all excited in a dirty, perverse way but that's hardly my fault, is it? Lawyers cost money Nobby and I'm not made of the bloomin' stuff.

Little bit of a pull and a push here and there.. interestingly on that season matching player for player with this season.. we seem to be down two players.
Both defenders and both in on loan late on..

That's right! We still have spave for Najeeb Yakubu & Ibrahim Kane!!

Dwight Tiendallli - Najeeb Yakubu
Tomas Kalas- Ibrahim Kane

Yakubu & Kane for the win!!

If we’re in a repeat of 2014/15 then it only stands to reason that our transfers for next season would follow those of 2015/16

Not exactly like for like.. but still. Shows the potential turnover of players and level of investment required..

GK Agazzi - Gavin Banzunu - Man City

LCB Amorebieta - Kristian Pedersen - Brum
LCB De Leat - Jack Simpson - Rangers

RCB Baptiste - Harry Souttar - Stoke
RCB Stephens - Rhys Williams - Liverpool

MF De Sart - Sean Longstaff - Newcastle
MF Zuculini - Dan Neil - Sunderland

LW Downing - Jamal Lewis - Newcastle
LW De Peña - Brandon Fleming - Hull

AM Ramirez - Darnell Furlong - West Brom
AM Fabbrini - Ben Johnson - West Ham

ST Rhodes - Ben Brereton Díaz - Blackburn
ST Nugent - Victor Gyökeres - Coventry
ST Stuani - Antoine Semenyo - Bristol
ST Kike Sola - Eddie Nketiah - Arsenal

Remember that was still just for the championship even after reaching the playoff final.

Newy you really need to get back into the land of reality! Your striker list is fanciful and, I believe, there is only one person on the list we have any chance of signing - and that is remote at best.

I wouldn't want Diaz. He'd scored 20 goals by Xmas. I'm not sure he's scored since?

Also he had Fletcher type figures before that. He's had one good spell in about 5 years.

The only one I'd have is Victor Gyökeres. Yet im pretty sure he will be on the move to bigger and better sides. He will be worth a fortune (15-20mil).

The gulf between premier league and championship is immense, the comparison is against 2015/16 signings.. I would say that is the sort of level we would be looking at.

transfer fees have a habit of being super inflated anyway and championship strikers have been vastly overrated in the past.

ST Rhodes - Ben Brereton Díaz - Blackburn
ST Nugent - Victor Gyökeres - Coventry
ST Stuani - Antoine Semenyo - Bristol
ST Kike Sola - Eddie Nketiah - Arsenal

I only mention Eddie Nketiah because Paul Merson said he was coming to boro. Chris Wilder said he liked Victor Gyökeres (will that fit the song?) he works really hard like Nugent. Semenyo has caught the eye every time he’s played against us (remember Newport in the cup) Ben Brereton Díaz would be a boro type of signing. Money off transfers burning a hole in our pocket.

I doubt that our super duper transfer team will be picking any of the same names as me!

They are just for a comparison really and to show where we would be if we stayed in the championship (with a view on automatic promotion)

Agree 100% on Diaz, Gyokeres works hard.. but then so does Connolly..

Flo Balogun
‘Meanwhile, Middlesbrough’s newest forward has revealed the part that teammate Eddie Nketiah played in his move to The Riverside’

I could see us taking Flo on loan again and perhaps signing Aaron Connolly on a permanent deal.

So to analyse, the list ( especially strikers) is pure fiction so the question to be raised is why bother???!!
transfer wise anything is pure fiction until the deal is done. If we stay in the Championship I think there will be some massive movement. Folks taking about 6 or 7 new players coming in.. have a look at where we were 2015/16 and that was after reaching the playoff final!

Oh, and we’ve defo been linked with the following..

GK Gavin Banzunu - Man City
DF Jack Simpson - Rangers
DF Harry Souttar - Stoke
DF Rhys Williams - Liverpool
MF Sean Longstaff - Newcastle
MF Dan Neil - Sunderland
LW Jamal Lewis - Newcastle
ST Eddie Nketiah - Arsenal

Leeds? West Ham? Borussia Monchengladbach?

Has Paul Merson said that he will be signing for either one of them? He thinks he will stay at Arsenal and go on loan to boro.. 166 minutes of first team football doesn’t cut is when you’re 22yo
