THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW - 2022 - OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICAL RUMOURS

There is as much chance of Paddy signing for Farsley, or Stalybridge Celtic as there is that lot in Glasgow.
I'd doubt very much that Dael Fry would see moving to Newcastle as fun right now; likely we will be swapping places.

Ah, Farsley Celtic. When we took our junior team to play them, the "managers" would be there, with their U15s, whiteboards out on the grass, kids sitting down watching as a half hour tactical masterclass was given to them. Which was scarcely required, given that the refs they provided were the most "home" orientated in the League.

Fancy us getting ‘a lucky seven’
(four of which are in the bag.. five including the other ‘mystery striker’)

41 GK Freddie Woodman - 24yo - Loan
3 DF Neil Taylor - 32yo
15 DF Nathan Wood -19yo
29 DF Djed Spence - 21yo
5 MF Jamie McGrath - 25yo
26 ST Folarin Balogun - 20yo - Loan
45 ST Aaron Connolly - 21yo - ?

Players that might be sold, sent back or loaned out?

32 Dejan Stojanovic -28yo
12 Marcus Browne - 24yo
4 Grant Hall - 30yo
13 Toyosi Olusanya - 24yo
23 James Lea Siliki - 25yo
9 Uche Ikpeazu - 26yo
37 Josh Coburn -19yo

We have 24 registered players out of 25...
Recalling Brynn (under 21) would mean Stojanovic can be sold/loaned out...
Recalling Wood (under 21) would mean Hall can be sold/loaned out... We already have enough bodies in that position in Fry, McNair, Bamba, Peliter, Dijksteel (and Wood)...
Bringing in Connolly (does he count as under 21 too?) would mean Uche can be sold/loaned out...

That brings us down to 21 registered players, so room for a couple more
Possibly improves the wage bill depending on the Connolly deal
Possibly improves the squad in general, and all without spending a penny.

What do we do should we get to the last week of the Jan window and we get

£20M bid off the skunks for Dael

a £20M bid off celtic for Paddy Mac

a £15M bid from the dirties for Tav

a £7m offer from forest for Djed

and an approach from Everton for Wilder, after they give Rafa his P45?.

to be honest im more concerned about who will be going out of the door rather than whos coming in through it.

Nathan Wood, Jack Robinson & Connor Malley

£65m now or £100m+ at the end of the season?

Deal Fry won’t save Newcastle, they need a miracle! Paddy McNair would be wasted in SPL, Tav to Leeds would be a weird on, he’d be better off here. Forrest aren’t paying £7m for Spence. Wilder will end up at Man Utd i

We won’t be interested in selling any first teamers - more so as we have improved and are in with a live chance of being top 6. Ludicrous to think otherwise.

£15m for Tav 😂

Yeah I think the message has definitely got through regarding my Notebook Reports 👍
Here is my entry in case you missed it...

Nobby's Choice No.18 Riley McGree.
This lad stood out for me and only playing due to an injury to Tahith Chong the Man Utd loanee.
Always available, energetic, bright and inventive with his play he also put a couple of great crosses in. This Australian is only 22 having already made 5 Apps for the full Aussie national side. He is on loan from MLS side Charlotte FC. Definitely one for the future, he's in the famous notebook.

Charlotte FC's first ever MLS pre-season starts on the 16th Jan  I'd cross this one out of the famous notebook haha
