The last time people were posting like this…

I think we will do better away at the moment. Playing on the break suits us. Without Jones' pace we are ponderous against teams packing the defence. If Silvera can step up, McGree get in the team and Forss go up front I think we would look a lot better.

I don't think we will make the play odds but I think we might start to see some development of the players we have over the next couple of months.

Nah, this place periodically goes into meltdown after a bad defeat, or a bad run of results.

This season was always going to be really tough, given the amount of talent we lost in the summer and the fact that so many young players were signed, who would all need a period to settle and grow, to varying degrees.

Throw into that a horrendous run of injuries and the current situation is very predictable.

Some off the stuff I'm reading this morning is just silly, even allowing for the disappointment of yesterday's result.

I still think the overall trajectory of the club is very much a positive one.
Very well written post.

Bigger picture, not just the one game.
Good morning, by the way.(y)
Good morning! Bloody football eh! I’m feeling pretty positive today after yesterday.. can look forward to a nice relaxing summer.

Got the deckchairs out already. Pina Colada baby! (I’m hoping he’s a 25 year old Argentinian Striker averaging a goal a game)

Overall trajectory is good. Feels like we dropped a bit of a clanger in January.

For me the set up yesterday was all wrong.. and as much as our injury difficulties have hampered us.. of we’re setting up like that.. we’re doing ourselves no favours.

Me too.
If only Gestede and Billy Woof were available.......☀️⛱️

We’ll win between now and end of season - just not consistent enough for top 6
Wouldn’t be surprised if we did so on Wednesday for one

Not Howson, not Ayling.. O’Brien on the right? Nah.. a RWB in January would have been the ticket. BEN JOHNSON on loan from West Ham
Trying to find a way to get Clark in to bolster the defence…proving tricky, perhaps I’ll let MC worry about team selections as it’s what he gets paid for😂

We'll win 2-3 of the next 6 and still be stuck in mid-table.

We'll probably beat Preston, people will start to talk themselves back in to there being a chance.

We'll probably get tonked by Leicester and the hope will die again, the usual posters will call anyone who's unhappy a bedwetter.

We'll probably beat Plymouth and Stoke and then we'll all talk about how there's still a chance.

Then we'll probably lose to Norwich and QPR and all be outraged again.

We probably won't keep a clean sheet in any of them.

Roger’s, crooks, latte lath, coburn, jones, bangura, smith….. all missing, not quite the same group.

We aren’t gonna win 6 on the spin… you got any of that stuff your smoking for sale? Could do with a laugh 😆
Not to mention Lenihan who is a first choice centre back ?

I tend to keep away from the more hysterical elements of the board after a defeat but my biggest fear is that Carrick gets tired of all our best players being sold or moved on from under him and moves on himself. I know that we as a club take collective decisions regarding players but if I was MC I wouldn't be at all happy about who we lose vs who replaces them.

Who have we sold? Morgan Rogers and Matt Crooks? We’ve replaced Matt Crooks with Finn Azaz and replaced Morgan Rogers with.. Matthew Hoppe..

Erm.. first full season this year.. dreadful start, hampered by injuries.. we still have talent in the squad and we hope a plan for the summer. Early days yet..

I didn’t realise until I saw this tweet just how bad our home form was. The amount of loses and lack of goals shows it’s not a blip this is a trend that the manager has failed to address and those behind the scenes have done very little to make his like easier with that appalling January window.

Only Blackburn and QPR have lost more home games!
