Talk of Strikers coming in drying up, the possibility of McGree playing as a number 10 behind a lone striker, inquiries for Tavernier, Payero gone and McNair.. ‘injured’

The dream of picking Jacob Greaves up for buttons, Hamza Choudhury finding his feet here for next to nothing and having three prem quality strikers in on loan seemed too good to be true Armstrong, Muniz & Forss.

Gyökeres, Muniz & Forss all picked up on permanent transfers covered by the fee brought in for Djed Spence! Dreams of financial security, bargain signings and league smashing ability had me eioing all the way to Whitby! Our U23s look a little ‘light’ perhaps because a large portion are in pre season with the first team..

What if that’s it? Business is done for the season, what you see is what you get.. with a few surprise departures still to come!

What if the bargains are already through the door, the sleeper agents.. we already have the next big things. The class of 2022?

Fry/Hannah
Bilongo/Bola

Crooks/Gibson

I would be prepared to wager a large amount of money that if we bring in no more players by the end of the window Wilder will have walked by Christmas. He is already getting frustrated so I can't imagine him putting up with it for long.

I was just about to start a similar thread. With only a few days to go in the window, the start of the season at least is looking a little bleak, I'm really not looking forward to it. Were not even linked to anyone anymore (perhaps that's a good thing). But if feels very likely that we'll start the season very short indeed. I've always suspected wilder won't finish this season too.

Now where have I heard that before ☺️

Don’t worry I have it on no authority at all that we will have three new players in by this time next week!

You're such a drama queen.

'The Masterplan' - if it is to be it will be by his doing.

Every summer?

The Hollywood comeback!

I hope your sauce is better than mine!
I think our best form was before Connolly and balogun arrived but now we have a top 6 keeper and more width in Giles plus more goals from mcgree . Wait until our strikers arrive 👍😉
Maybe McGree IS ONE OF OUR STRIKERS?!?!?!

Master plans are perfect when relayed on paper - it’s the execution where they tend to fail!

Do our business early, Marquis signing, strikers to be brought in. As of today? Nowhere near a master plan coming to fruition.

But still plenty of time the optimistic ones tell us. Our late action last season bringing in predominantly loan signings shows the folly of this strategy relying on late activity

Its a very good album, some of the B side stuff is better than what they released. Stay Young is a bouncing track and The Masterplan is a great end to the album.

Oooh.....................................
I was listening to that the other day after seeing the Be Here Now 25 year special edition release. It really was totally dump. The Gallagher Brothers should get back together to fix that re do the album and re do the tour. (yes I bought the album and went to see the be here now tour)

They could have put a decent album out imo.. nothing compared to Radiohead or Blur or The Verve of that year.. but they could have scraped some dignity at least.

Has the season started then???

No let’s be negative when we have a reason to be.

Btw newyid I wasn’t referring to you or your OP it was the resent s moan responses that followed.
I think the negativity comes from the fact that the season starts in 9 days and the only 2 strikers at the club are 2 who were not deemed good enough to be regular starters last season, in a group that is widely accepted to be one of the worst groups of strikers the club has ever had.

I could be wrong mind...
