The Masterplan

I dont think people are unreasonable to worry. it was obvious to a blind man that we needed strikers from last year. They had a disastrous January window.
Starting the season without a single striker that wilder has any confidence in is dangerous - what is it, four games? then the time to settle in if we do get somebody?
it was very hasty to freeze Uche out - I always liked him and always thought he would be great to bring off the bench and could certainly perform as a stand-in, in my opinion.
Akpom should be working in Lidl or B&Q.

Yes, will be happy with any 2 of the 3.
Who might be holding up the transfers?

Brentford - Kasper Dolberg £17m - Newcastle nearly signed him in January, Brentford have made an approach and they want to sell.
Marcus Forss went out on loan in January to Hull.. it didn't quite work out. I'm going to say most likely, easiest deal to complete. A no brainer for the player, very much a Keiran Scott type of signing.

Southampton - Sékou Mara £11.70m - completed - Adam Armstrong given the green light.
Maddo's inside knowledge, Chris Wilder's links with Southampton. A former Tony Mowbray signing, ex Blackburn.
All signs point to this being our main target marquee signing.

Fulham - Musa Barrow £16m target says ‘I’m very happy here’ as his club Bologna chase Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee
Muniz has defo been told he's not part of their plans, twitter likes surely mean it's only a matter of time. Our main target last summer, we could have and maybe should have brought in January 2020. Warnock is never wrong and all things turn out for the best don't they!

18th September 2021 Home against Reading
1. 86th minute reaction header off Mitro - Fulham lose 2-1

3rd November 2021 - Away at Blackburn
2. 81min perfect cross, couldn't miss, could have been an own goal.
3. 90min beauty cross, header away at Blackburn 90min Fulham win away 0 - 7 Fulham

22nd January 2022 - Away at Stoke
4. 2nd minute Back to goal beauty shot
5. 33rd minute Fabio Carvalho's goal that Muniz pinched Fulham win away 2-3 (Bobby Reid gets the third)

No assists and with the benefit of a great team, the back to goal shot against Stoke is superb, otherwise would flourish in a team with Jones and Giles providing the ammunition.

Third Kit to be released WITH THREE STRIKERS?

I'm normally completely glass half full but I am getting concerned about the start of the season. I think it stems from all the talk in latter part of last season where players had been identified and wanting to get players in early this year so the gel and we hit the ground running.
Getting Giles in early and Steffan before the season starts (ahead of Portugal would have been much better though) is great
I don't understand the 'we're nowhere near the end of the transfer window' line. If we lost our main strikers for the last 8 games of the season people would be rightly concerned that we would blow any promotion hopes. But not having them in for the first 8 is something we shouldn't worry about?
All the games still have 3 points to play for as far as I'm aware.

Well said young man. You should have a column in the Geezette , I'm sure they would sell more.
I have banged on and on about 'goals win games ' so the players tasked with the job have to have the knack , of scoring AND creating .
Let's hope the 3 or so we get in have ' the gift '
Scoring goals is an art, you either have it or don't , most don't , but there Is some out there who have it, put 2 or 3 of them together up top and you are guaranteed goals.
Man City , Liverpool, Chelsea , Barca, Madrid, etc all play this way , And have players who can come of the bench and slot in.
Let's hope we get 3 in with 'the gift.'
'The Unicorn'
'Marcus Forss is a better finisher anyway' from the same stable as Neal Maupay and Ollie Watkins we have a striker that can finish.. Jones + Giles + Forss = GOALS

'The Big Striker'
Matthew Hoppe at 6'3 is the one here. Better than all the strikers mentioned (Gyokeres included) 1 in 2 goal involvements

'The Championship Cheat Code'
'no truer words spoken than Adam Armstrong scores championship goals..'
a loan deal for Armstrong seems to have cooled down.. so has a loan deal for Muniz..

How about this: 'Marcus Forss & Matthew Hoppe on permanent transfers.. Josh Coburn goes out on loan them ARMSTONG & MUNIZ come in on loan?!?!

7 Adam Armstrong
9 Marcus Forss
10 Rodrigo Muniz
11 Matthew Hoppe

Surely not?

I would be prepared to wager a large amount of money that if we bring in no more players by the end of the window Wilder will have walked by Christmas. He is already getting frustrated so I can't imagine him putting up with it for long.
I honestly dont know where you get this idea that CW is getting frustrated, my take on this he's not frustrated at all, he's been in the game long enough to know what goes on & these things happen all the time, he' ll be looking ay players to bring in, not thinking about walking out on the club

I totally agree with jimbo Erimus, wildernis here to challenge for promotion. Not to oversee a book balancing exercise (I say that and actually mean selling our prize assets). No i actually prefer that we are looking to stay in the black, but I honestly agree that I can't see wilder being happy with how this appears to be panning out, I'm happy, but this doesn't align with the ambition, mood music / expectations wilder seemed to be alluding too a few weeks ago

Fair paint warwickboro, though he will have known Tav was more more or less going when he done his Q&A answers at the Riverside, yet he seemed happy & relaxed
I cant see him walking, could be wrong, but I can see him here the season
