* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Millwall, Match-Day Thread *

Also... we should have definitely had a penalty.

The crooks shot is blocked by the player with his arm fully outstretched. Great save!

You could see one of our player fuming, but crooks not even asking.

Great to have the back 5 as option if we are trying to hold on.

When we can put it together like we did for the first goal we look fantastic. It just inconsistent how often we put it together.

I think the majority of us would agree that it wasn't one of our better performances and as Laughing mentioned earlier, we have played a lot better and came away with nothing.

For me though, there were plenty of positives in the game. Ayling got through 90 minutes on his debut and he must be buzzing to be back out on the pitch. We should be covered now at RB and RVB can move in to play in the centre. Azaz also made his debut and got through 62 minutes. Azaz is going to play a big part in the Boro going forward and I feel we are very strong in midfield. The icing on the cake for me was Forss coming off the bench and playing the last 10 minutes. He also must be buzzing to be back on the pitch but to get a goal on his return must be very pleasing for him.

Previously when we have played in a big cup game, the next match we usually put in a poor performance and drop points. Well done Boro, Carrick and all his backroom staff.

Our first goal changed the game; it took the wind out of their sails. After that they knew we could hurt them. They had a blow second half but you always felt we could pick them off and once we got the second they reverted to type: long balls into the box. Smart substitution by Carrik to put Clarke on. Lived in Sowf London for many years and would've loved to have been there today to see all those tortured cockney mugs, raving and groaning!

Exquisite lay off by Rodgers for the third and clinical finish by Forss. Now we have winnable five games before Leicester and we need to put a run together. Get into the top six and stay there.
