Many years ago I was in Sierra Leone recommissioning an iron ore facility after the civil war. All the original steelwork for the bridge & the sheds was from Dorman Long.

I was once in a pub in Sunderland City centre and one of the beams had Dorman Long on it.

Used to see many girders and metal structures with BSC SK around the ship.

Just had a flashback. Sat in 2 Charlie penthouse trap looking at the girder with BS Skiningrove on it. Invincible had them too.
Few years ago saw some steel bollards with BSC Redar on them in Mumbai docks

All the above, plus O&G platforms the world over are full of Kennedy gratings and handrails from Decima/Barrier Offshore, all galvanized in Boro.

funnily enough the steelwork for the handrails and the advertising boards was fabricated on skippers lane. the lads were still in the night before the Chelsea game painting it.

There used to be a Dorman Long steel beam in the Unicorn (top house) in Norton village, no idea whether it’s still there as it’s probably 20 year ago I was last in!

Much of the London Underground. There is a lovely big beam on show as you head to the Eastbound District Line platform at Embankment, half way down the stairs from the ticket hall to the platform.

Our offices in North Shields were refurbished in 2017. We have exposed steel beams in the ceiling, painted red with Dorman Long all over them. Drives the local Geordies nuts when I mention it.
