This lefty board might not like it, but Sunak and the Tories have delivered…

Cat’s Lives

Well-known member
on their promises.

He stood for selection and told people he would divert money away from poor, northern, urban areas and send it back to places like Tunbridge Wells.

He’s done exactly that.

Tories have told us who they are. Acted as they are and showed us who they are.

Their intentions delivered. Their real promise delivered.

The Tories couldn't deliver a F***ing pizza
Show me a democratically elected political party from anywhere around the world that is more effective at diverting wealth to the very top…to shareholders, to offshore accounts, to oligarchs, billionaires, foreign states…

The Conservative Party makes the US Republican party look like a bunch of unpaid interns.

You know who’s side they are on, beware a Tory bearing gifts. Always find it amazing that Tories bang on about tax cuts, yet most have accountants to ensure they pay as little tax as possible

Not sure your point is being fully appreciated.

The Tories are great for businesses and wealthy people, just not the 99% of the rest of us.

They're only great for about 1% of businesses also, not saying the other 99% of businesses do badly, but under someone else they would do better.

They could steal one off a starving immigrant though, so that's good we don't want immigrants coming here and buying pizzas.
Bet the bluddy imigrents ordered them off their iPhones, while watching their 75" UHD TVs in their 5 bed detached houses.

Bet Lee Anderson can't sleep at night 😬😬

Why are so many businesses collapsing?

If people haven't got money to spend there's no need for them.
How long you got? I think it would take a whole day to dissect why. But I think online shopping has taken over, business's can't afford the rent, wages, electic, water and gas bills, it's a lot cheaper to sell things online from a warehouse in the middle of knowhere. Also nobody has any money to live anymore, you know the basics. Especially after covid, businesses are still recovering. For example the restaurant I used to work at, our rent for the year on a busy street in the centre of Brighton, was about 85k a year, that's purely just rent.

We need a socialist government, a real Labour party, Starmer isn't that, he's a Tory in Labour colours.

Starmer is doing what he needs to do to get elected. The absolute important thing is Labour get the Tories out. If he goes all left wing Billy big balls radical he will get slaughtered by the press. The lead in the polls means he just has to not make big mistakes at this time. I think a Labour government will deliver what we hope for, a fairer country that cares for everyone. The party and its members need to be 100% behind Starmer, no fractures no factions. GET THE TORIES OUT

I think he's losing voters by NOT sticking to manifestos he's previously supported.

Starmer is the same as Sunak? I'll quote the estimable @Ziggy for you:
Starmer is standing against Sunak…that’s the choice.
You don’t have to be a ‘person of the left’ to see the difference. Given their personal background

Keir Starmer came from a working class family but passed the 11 plus and went to a Grammer school on a Scholarship He went on and studied law at the University of Leeds, graduating with first class honours and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 1985, becoming the first member of his family to graduate.

Yeah, he's not Corbyn but he is going to be the next PM. Probably...

The RWNJs are already circling the wagons with Farage pressing the flesh of the acolytes at the Tory conference and talk of Reform etc. stepping aside in Tory seats to avoid splitting the RWNJ vote.

So think on if you really think that Starmer is so bad that you are willing to risk another five years of this lot because he isn't as red as you would like. If there is one thing that the RW are good at it is getting their vote out. They have been getting elected with less than 50% of the vote so many times over the last half century or more. Think on Comrade.

Strange one though. Online shopping and Covid aren't unique to the UK yet travelling overseas you see a marked contrast between High Street fortunes.

I've got all day to listen, I'm retired. I've got plenty of time to travel too, so I've seen it.

Are you saying that foreigners pay less rent than UK businesses, if so why, obviously not demand, there's plenty of empty premises in the UK, including London.

Are foreign businesses somehow obtaining cheaper fuels than this fuel producing country. If so how and why?

Another common attack I hear is on local authorities setting business rates too high. Have you any idea how long ago that stopped being a practice?

He also told us he was going to level up. Where is that?
He told us he had an oven ready deal. Where is that?
He told us, repeatedly, they would not raise taxes. Hows that gone?

The tories have not done what they promised. I understand that your opening post was trolling, but not a very good attempt.

If you are just referring to sunak. He told us:

He would stop the boats. Hows that going?
He told us he would half inflation. Hows that going?
He told us he was going to grow the economy. Hows that going?
He told us he was going to cut NHS waiting lists. Hows that going?
He said he was going to reduce debt. Hows that going?
