Thoroughly sick of the Bielsa/Leeds hype

The worst ones are those from places like York who actually have ( well had ) a semi-decent football team & yet try to give a spurious reason as to why they follow Leeds & not their home team.
Teesside had it's own LUFC supporters club. Didn't they used to leave from The Swan in Billingham, many moons ago

York is full of dirty Leeds. Like rats, you are never far from one!

Leeds showing that they're a top half Championship side at best if you remove one potentially big six quality player from the equation. Raphinha also outstanding but they're missing their side's engine and it shows.

Here here. They should be proud to support York City, not the scrubbers from down the road!
All stems from early 70s, where York were an unfashionable yo-yo side in the second and third tiers (unbelievably when you consider current state) and Leeds were broadly the only successful Yorkshire club outside Sheffield (Sheff U were a mid table club without trophy success in the mid 70s whilst Sheff Weds were in absolute freefall for the entire decade until Big Jack did his salvage mission). It's all glory hunting propelled by nostalgia and "the dirty Leeds myth" feeding into the idea that Leeds were an unfashionable outfit who were out of place amongst big clubs' supporters. The truth is that they bought into the glory club idea as much as everyone else and Leeds fans to a point still have a chip on their shoulder about not being in "the elite" anymore.

A very good friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Leeds and has been going to the games home and away for years. He use to follow the Boro and just stopped.

His brother and nephew is a season ticket holder as well but his brother's wife and daughter have Boro season tickets.
