Thoroughly sick of the Bielsa/Leeds hype

A very good friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Leeds and has been going to the games home and away for years. He use to follow the Boro and just stopped.

His brother and nephew is a season ticket holder as well but his brother's wife and daughter have Boro season tickets.
How can you " just stop"? I can't work that out. I can understand not going but " changing " teams?

I would say he didn't just stop, he went to watch one or the other at one point. When we were in the third division after the financial turmoil, he went to watch more Boro games than Leeds. When we got promoted to the second, he started watching Leeds again.

Strange charachter theat way.

You are a kind soul. You stuck with him , your reward will be in heaven.

It's a well written story the Bielsa one, a slave to his footballing ideology that absolutely lacks pragmatism and always self-destrucks eventually.

Mourinho had the measure of him when asked by the fawning media, pointing out that he's not won a thing and that trophies aren't handed out for playing attractive football.

If Leeds ditch Bielsa then I can see them struggling back in this league, Newcastle too as they need to assemble a whole new team and Howe had so much more time for that at Bournemouth.

In the PL you need to win perhaps 1 in 4 to have a good chance of staying up, but our league needs win after win to have your chance of going the other way. That's a very difficult habit to establish, as we well know.

Injuries. When you have to rely on Forshaw as your holding midfielder (MoTD were highlighting his defensive fault on the early goals) you know they have weaknesses. They also have no forwards at the moment. They would be crazy to ditch their manager.

They have got a lot of injuries, but they also have a small squad which is why it’s hurting them so much.
Theyll end up being fine this season by the way, plenty of teams worse than them in the league this season.

Did I hear somewhere the other day they've had eight hamstring injuries this season?

That suggests a problem with warm up/warm down / muscle conditioning / stretching surely?

Maybe his dog chasing a bone, rapid sprinting, swash-buckling play isn't physically sustainable over prolonged periods?

The worst ones are those from places like York who actually have ( well had ) a semi-decent football team & yet try to give a spurious reason as to why they follow Leeds & not their home team.
Not as bad as that little fella who you always see walking round Grove Hill / Belle Vue, it doesn't matter if its freezing cold or red hot sunshine, he always has his Leeds scarf on. Neck must stink. Probably never been to Leeds let alone Elland Road.

A mate of mine is a Leeds fan. He said he used to go to Ayresome on occasions until big Cyrille give him a clip in the Holgate and told him he never wanted to see him in Boro again! He's never been since! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Big Cyril Williams, always looked the part but was a big gentle giant.

Had some great times with him when he played for the Grangetown Boys Club in the Teesside League.
