Tonight’s ref

He was very lax with their time wasting I thought.
As in - Howson crippled by trying to recover Dijksteel's third mistake in the 5 minutes he was on. Gets treated for 3 minutes in added time. He adds one. Couldn't wait to get Preston across the line. He couldn't have been more obvious in a white shirt.

Not the refs fault, but thought he was pretty poor tbf. A few decisions were a bit head scratching......but hey, Championship refs 😳😳

If we had VAR there would have still been no penalty. There was no clear and obvious error. Both players had their arms high on each other (the defender to grab Forss and Forss to push off the defender). Forss slipped slightly, realised he wasn't getting the ball because the covering defender was there and went down.

Championship referees are mostly useless but I think in this case there was enough in it that it could have gone either way.

In the VAR point. If the penalty had been given then VAR wouldn't have overturned it either for the same reason.

Are you telling me Man Utd wouldn't of got a penalty for that, they would of got 2 pens and a man sent off.

Only me who thinks it wasn't a stone wall penalty?

Personally I think it would have been a very soft decision to give the penalty.

I know if I we were the home team and the ref gave a penalty, I'd be raging.

I mentioned when Sam Allison was appointed to referee our game against Bristol City that it is the PGMOL to blame and not the ref himself. They are putting the refs in a thankless position. I also feel that anyone put in this position tends to over compensate and unknowingly show bias towards the opposition.

He is a Premier League referee and has been for 3 years
I think the penalty decision could have gone either way and justification could be made for it.
