Toyosi Olusanya

Think he’s someone who can play as a striker and wide in a front 3. Apparently he’s left footed so wouldn’t surprise me if he’s been brought in because of what’s happened to Ameobi so we may see him used on the right of a front 3 cutting in

Right. So do you think he'll go into the match day squad from the off? Not sure why but I thought he was a winger!

To me it sounds like he will be used as a wide forward so you probs right. Doubt we will be using him as main striker. And yeah I hope so, would like to see him on bench tomorrow.

Just listen to the gaffers presser today. You'd think we'd signed Messi 😂

He thinks he's really got something and says 'you wouldn't want to play against him'. The club did sprint tests yesterday and he was 2nd and they thought he was holding back. So probably the quickest in the squad.

Traveling to Derby👍

Quicker than Jones?! Jesus!!

I actually don’t mind thinking he could be the next messi anything to create some more positivity after the last few yrs .
I do find it strange to pull a lad in that hasn’t completed a full season none league and assume he can help a side get to the greatest league in the world .

I suppose the only question that needs answering is will he give his opposing full back more to think about than Spence, and/or can he offer competition to Jones and Ameobi to keep them training hard and provide cover.

I just know my dad is going to call him "Toyota" and I await with some anticipation Maddo mangling his name when he trots onto the pitch for the first time.

Little things :)

Welcome to the Boro lad.

The write-up on him on the Boro website indicates that he's played a bit more football than some people seem to think.

It also mentions that he'd had trials at Chelsea and Wolves, as well as attracting interest from Newcastle United and Manchester City.

So he obviously must have something about him that catches the eye.

On twitter a Billericay fan told me that he was a striker, but they played him on the wing as they had a greater need in that position and his pace worked really well for them, but he was fundamentally a striker.

sounds like a very promising youngster that then fell through the trapdoor. Could have been attitude, injuries, physical maturity. For whatever that youth contract never developed into a full pro one and he disappeared. He's stuck at it, and started to gain some traction again, and that indicates that he is strong willed.

It happens, Jamie Vardy was in the Sheff Wed youth system and was released at 16. He was in non-league football at the same age as this kid, before Leicester pipped us and took a punt on him.

Good luck to the lad, sounds really excited to be here, and Warnock likes what he has seen. Second quickest at the club (but holding back a bit)

Ah, that's interesting coz everywhere I looked he was regarded as a winger. Sounds like he's got a bit of both in him then. Very promising and I do like the idea of shopping non league. Don't always work out but it's not gonna break the bank and the players are hungry and eager.
