Velogames Tour de France 2021 🇫🇷 🇫🇷🚴🏻 - (May Contain Spoilers )

Nearly done. I am looking for a couple of 4 credit riders who are going to rack up a load of points... I think I have chosen.

I'm sure I picked one 4 point rider a few years ago that got in almost every breakaway going, that earned me nearly as many points as some of my expensive riders.

I’ll get mine in today, but I must admit I clearly have no idea how the actual points work. I had a pretty decent team for the Giro yet came nowhere yet looking at the points Sagan had something like 900 points and had done jack schitt until all the better sprinters went home!

And thats why Sagan is a good pick. He isn't the fastest sprinter but lasts the full 21 stages and contests intermediate sprints.

Looking like it'll be a good competition this year, both virtually and on the road.
I've finalised my team after a lot of chopping and changing. I do wonder how many will go with the Pog Rog combo and hope to pick up scraps elsewhere and how many will be trying to find those GC riders who'll sack off the overall and go for stages.
The first stage looks tailor made for the likes of Van Aert, Alaphilippe and MvP.

I‘ve got a few Ineos riders but more for the fact I think they’ll be strong and always there or thereabouts rather than one of them winning GC. Plus you can get a slightly stronger team without TP or PR using your points up.

Carnage on day 1. Stupid spectator brings down the peloton. Porte and MAL suffer. Frrome injured. Hirschi possibly out.
Scores to follow.

Carnage. Idiot spectators waving banners and bringing down half the peleton. Horribe to see.

4 confirmed non starters for Stage 2 so far

Konovalovas, Lemoine, Sütterlin and Soler.
Id be astounded if Froome does.

It still amazes me that after all these fan related incidents that we still get idiots who think that they can encroach on the road as the riders are passing. I suppose being on TV for a fleeting moment is far more important to them than the possibility of destroying someone's entire season.
I'm at a loss as to what can be done.

Spectator to be sued
Link

Suing seems a bit extreme. I hate spectators trying to get on TV as much as the next man, but the organisers of the race suing an individual, hmm, I'm not sure how it can stick? The organisers themselves share some of the blame for not marshalling properly (impossible on an open race with hundreds of thousands of spectators, I know).

Anyway... Glad I kept Alaphillipe in my huge raft of last minute changes to my team.

Two quite mad stages to start. Love it. Like many others, my prospects in this comp have been compromised by the crashes on stage 1 but I don't mind if the racing continues to be as cavalier/aggressive.

Gee has just hit the deck and it looks like he might have hurt his shoulder/collarbone. He's back on his bike, but he looks in a lot of pain. Tony Martin was another one who went down too.
