Edit: Just seen the race highlights and that is the second time I've welled up today.
That chase down was brutal, not only for the lad from Lotto, but for those at the head of it. It'd be fascinating to see some of the power figures over those last few km's.When watching it live the emotion was even greater as at 4k to go it looked like the breakaway rider was going to stay away til the finish. The emotion amongst his teammates was palpable.
That’s what I thought.Considering sprint stages are generally the boring ones, Stage 4 was absolutely one of the greatest stages in TdF history. Loved it. I thought they'd blown it from 15-20km out. But it was just perfect.
As for today -- the look on Kung's face was interesting.
I didn’t see the look. What do you think? That’s what I thought.
I think I know what we all thought. Days like today and Day 3 could make me fall out of love with professional cycling. I thought the going on in the 90s and early 00s would have sorted this all out but how naive is that thought. That’s what I thought.
Err……I don’t think it was Abel.I suspect Zoo it was the look of shock of a TT specialist on the top of his form beaten by 19 seconds on a relatively flat course.
The latest table. Chorlton still leads.
