hmmmm Colin Greenwood is very underestimated, love his bassline in Airbag, it's a bit low in the mix but it shouldn't be.
The Cure are really bass driven, I never really got this until I started to lsiten to them again about 10-15 years ago. Simon Gallup is awesome. A Forest is amazing, love cats has a very distinctive bass line
Rage Against the Machine have some awesome bass lines too, they're a lot more of a heavy funk rap band than the 'metal/rap band' that people claimed at the time. Killing in the Name has a great bass groove. Take the Power Back, and Know Your Enemy are superb bass lines.
Pretty much anything by the Chili Peppers, love Give it away, probably my fave bassline from flea
My boy is an excellent bass player, he loves Muse Hysteria and says its an absolute killer to perfect.
