Nobody knows what they quoted us, or would have accepted.

I think if we had him, Coventry would have been near the relegation spots, and Sunderland would have been one place higher, and who we would have had to play if we hadn't improved our position.
Thing is, if we had him early in the season it might have meant keeping Wilder, and we would have probably finished lower
As much as I wanted him, maybe he did us a favour by not coming

Although Hamer has penned a new deal. I'm suprised he didn't hold off and get a move. I can't see them being remotely as good without VG.

Didn't Wilder say last Summer, we have been quoted £18m to £20m for a Championship striker. Its likely it was VC.

Yes, an unexpected one maybe.
I don't think it's anywhere near the €24m quoted by some outlets, most likely that's the overall package including his salary, which is how fees are often reported by European teams.
