Warnock hopes to have 2 new faces in by end of the week

Same, don't mind giving big Sol a year on buttons (as cover) after winning his cancer battle though.

Yeah if he proves his fitness I don’t mind it and wish him well in whatever he does next. Although if we could afford it I would prefer Jake Cooper

Might be just me but I don’t really feel underwhelmed at all, TBH. I’ve been saying for a while - as have loads of others - that what this group needs is leadership and authority. We have a core of talented lads, most of them mid-20s and younger, who need direction and guidance. Bolt three or four old heads onto our squad and we’d be much stronger for it.

The big issue is adding goals but in the main I’m behind what Warnock is doing with his transfer business. It’s about building a team. If he can find goals to add to the experience he’s brought/bringing in this summer and combine it with the talent already on the books then I’d fancy us to make a really good crack of it next season.
That is the issue surely though Viv, non of the names linked (or rumoured) really add any goals to the side, that really struggled to score last year.

If we are planning to line up with Hoilett and Ameobi as the wide forwards we'll be nearer the bottom six than the top six, they are both woeful in terms of goal and assist contributions. Holiet, 2 goals 2 assists in 21 appearances last season and Ameobi 3 goals 2 assists from 32 appearances. That is the epitome of underwhelming to me.

I don't buy into all this trust in Warnock, or he'll get more out of these players talk, he got next to nothing out of Akpom after spending £2.6 million on him and Bettenelli was dreadful as well, along with most of his January signings that guided us from looking likely for a top six place, to finishing the season on bottom six form (over the course of a season).

Soudss like warnock is running the scouting dept...just sign his old players
Coulson now reportedly done deal to Ipswich, meaning another place is vacant.
Denver Hume to replace him ? The obvious link.

Sunderland interested in Dennis Cirkin left back from Tottenham. Could free up Denver Hume for boro

Jeez we really are absolutely wafer thin up front going into Sunday! An injury to Ikpeazu or Watmore and we have absolutely no-one. Has there been any more striker links since the Muniz thing fell through?

Linked with Aaron Boupenza. Gabonese striker who plays in Turkey. He’s all left foot but looks good from what I’ve seen.

Fingers crossed then;
There's rumours emerging in the "African press" that West Ham are now interested. I'm sure they won't be anymore reliable than the UK press, and if anything is probably just an attempt to create interest.

I'm suprised we've only brought in one actual No9. I mean we've known since last Xmas that Britt and Fletcher were leaving and we want Akpom out.

I guess we tried for Collins (apparently)

Definitely need another actual No9.

We can't keep sticking Crooks up top.
Cephas Malele on a free would be at least worth a trial .
More likely to go for Michael Smith or even Sam Cosgrove who can leave brum apparently .
Cole Stockton could be a cheap option .
Loans could be the reason we wait , with Keenan Davis and Ellis Simms and Delap being the obvious ones .

God hopefully not Cosgrove..... A reason he's been binned after 6 months😂

I read many Aberdeen fans saying at times he's doesn't look like a footballer.

I've read Boro fans saying the same about Brazilian Internationals so I wouldn't put much store in the opinions of fans on the internet.

Not saying he's great, good, mediocre, weak or terrible and if I did it would be worth no more than the opinion of those Aberdeen fans (less in fact)

Did he even score for Brum? That's a more worrying issue. They spent over 1mil on him 6 months ago. I'd say you should question why they want shot.

Then again we want shot of Akpom so it happens.
