Definitely room for a good nuanced debate about this. Just not on a Saturday morning.
Profit isn't necessarily a bad thing. How much, at what cost and how much should be reinvested are all questions I would ask. In a utility everyone needs/ has to use perhaps we need to work out how much profit keeps a business running versus how much is profiteering.
One for a few beers around a table though for me rather than on here.

Utilities should be in public ownership, then there would be no question about profits, or are you happy that we're subsidising French electricity?
