Another shocker from Akpom today. I think Maddo came as close today as he dare to openly directly criticise a player. Watmores goals owed nothing to the fact that Akpom was on the pitch.

I'm laughing at the fact Sunderland fans think they've missed a trick. They were slating him last season because of his wage. We could give him a 3 year deal tomorrow and he gets crocked next week and they would be saying 'told you so' . All fans are fikle as feck.

If we are loaning a forward Billy Sharp doesn't get a kick. He's 32 but I'm not having it he wouldn't score the chances Britt and Akpom have missed in the last month.

Akpom controlled a difficult ball half way inside their half, carried the ball to the edge of their box before finding a player in space on the edge of the box. It was a fairly significant involvement in the opening goal.
