Who to support on Saturday

Consequences have meant I shipped the Mrs out for Saturday, hoping for Boro in the final but now I've got the day to myself!

It's gonna be great weather by the looks of it but I know I'll end up watching the PO final. It'd be more appealing if I could choose a team to support. There's no real underdog, they're both pretty meh teams and I have petty beef with both (Coventry for boring our pants off, well beating us, and Luton because their fans were horrendous when I've encountered them following York in the past.)

Both have nice back stories, both will come straight back down next season, we don't have a great connection with either, both have been top league. Neither have a Hollywood connection ;)

Yeah after writing all that it seems I'll probably go to Saltburn for fish and chips :p

Coventry for me.

Think Luton would be worse off if they were the ones who lost out, two back-to-back play off defeats could do some damage, imagine a couple of their best players would be off, potential for their manager to be picked off as well.

It might be best for Boro if Luton win as that will mean Coventry stay down and potentially lose Gyökeres and Hamer thereby making them weaker next year. If Coventry win I don't see many Prem teams looking at Luton players as they are more about the team than individuals and so if they stay down they'll be just as strong next year.

Coventry as a midlands replacement for Leicester and have clawed their way back after years of struggle as a football club. Luton just dirty cloggers.
Agree about the Luton comment. Coventry, no bigger than us but we couldnt beat them over 2 games. Si I'll go for neither. UTB

Both will come straight back down imo

Luton will spend their money on a new stadium.. and cleaning up their old stadium.

Coventry will lose Hamer and Gyökeres

Luton was the better team this season and deserve to go up based on that alone.

Luton fvck Coventry. Hope their team disintergatesi like ours has.
Steffen - got slagged off loads
Giles - couldn’t defend for toffee
Mowett - was injured most of the time
Ramsey - was injured then got injured
Archer - well.. he was never gonna stay
Muniz -‘The New Afonso Alves’

Who else? Akpom.. most wanted rid last summer.. Gayle or McGoldrick right?

Would like Luton out of the division because they're a horrible team to watch and play against.

Coventry will lose Gyokeres if they don't go up, so can't see them being much of a threat next season.

I won't be watching the final though and won't be particularly happy for whichever club does it.

Coventry for me. At least they have some players who show skill and are decent to watch, rather than just "playing as a unit" ie hoofball cloggers like Luton.

Luton.

They finished 3rd so deserve it more.

Also as alluded to above, lets see how well coventry do playing 9 behind the ball without Gyokeres as an outlet. Both as bad as each other in terms of style.

Agree, it’s all about what’s best for boro and Luton going up is best with Coventry losing Gykores
Not bothered about hamer.
Coventry will become hard to beat without Gykores but won’t get many goals

I’ll be interested to see how Luton centre backs cope with Gykores because he is the best striker I’ve seen at the riverside for a while

I couldn’t watch it and I have no preference whatsoever. Maybe a Luton win because they deserve to go up on league position.

Anyway I’m taking myself off to Twickenham for the Premiership Final on Saturday And the only sad thing is I’ll be travelling in by train with a load of Luton fans no doubt.

I couldn’t care less. I’m done with the footy for the Summer now. Won’t be watching.

I’m also at a loose end so think I’ll pack a bag. set up a playlist and go for a long walk.

Coventry are without doubt the better team, I fully expect them to win. I will go 2-0, Boro now have no chance of signing Gyokeres, sadly. I’d sooner we signed Archer if we could pay £20M for anyone, we certainly can’t do both. Luton are a hard watch and will blow it thankfully.

Have a bet on it. That should make it more interesting. Coventry 3.10 Luton 2.40 and 3.00 for the draw.
