Why does John Foster insist on blasting out 'Freed from Desire' literally a second after the referee blows for FT?

It kills the atmosphere at FT.

Noticed it for a few games now. The crowd seems to want to celebrate the win and yet he ruins the chants/celebrations by doing this.

I wonder if it's worth against Coventry not doing this, to see what the atmosphere is like, ready before the PO's.

If we won the PO semi-final tie at home after the 2nd leg, I can imagine the whole stadium would be bouncing and we wouldn't need 'Freed from Desire' being blasted at a 1,000 decibels.

Half the stadium will be risking a ban entering the field of play at the final whistle wont they like the Brentford game?

I noticed signs on Wednesday reminding supporters on both the big screen and advertising boards

Noticed kids singing it on the way back from the stadium.. that’s weird.. but they seem to enjoy it.

Wouldn’t be my choice..

My lad and his mate loved it when we were last there. Seems a common thing now, Forest were doing it last year with Depeche Mode.

Freed from Desire was blasted out in Dublin after Ireland won the Grand Slam too. It’s become the go to celebration music the last few years.

As a big house music fan I’ve always like the track anyway!

I wondered what people would think about this - from where I was standing at the top centre of the North Stand I saw fans all around the ground celebrating with this song, leaping up and down and singing along. For me it was great timing and really captured and focussed the mood.
There is a definite difference of opinion here but if I had bothered to take my phone out and capture you would have seen fans in all the stands literally dancing and singing along. That is what struck me it did seem to be all the stands.

Kills the atmosphere? What game were you at? The south stand in particular was bouncing and singing along when it came on.

There’s barely an atmosphere at full time to being with, most fans have left already to get ahead of the traffic, are in the concourse getting their pint or a streaming out the exits.

If it wasn’t for that song you’d have some polite clapping from what’s left of three of the stands and a bit of chanting from the red faction.

The kids seem to love it aswell.

Ah. I'm in the North Stand and I've noticed quite a few around me want to start singing, clapping and celebrating the win just at FT, but the blasting of the music just ruins it.

The only part of the song in which I see the crowd get excited is when the chorus of 'Na-na-na-na-na, na-na, na-na-na, na-na-na',
