I reckon you're right, I completely forgot about Coburn, my bad.I reckon Coburn is more likely to start than Akpom. Coburn + Watmore with Akpom and Forss coming on later on

Agreed. While I have low expectations of him I would be furious if anyone chose to get on his back. He's our player, and never done anything to deserve that. Very few have, to be honestExactly , who knows what is going on in his head ? May be the penny has dropped , he is a few years older etc . Either way , he is not going to perform if the crowd are on his back.
He’s hardly played in front of a crowd at the Riverside either. You never know, he might just suit Wilder’s style.Agreed. While I have low expectations of him I would be furious if anyone chose to get on his back. He's our player, and never done anything to deserve that. Very few have, to be honest
Well wilco, we’ll have to agree to disagree then…He went a long period after initially scoring a couple looking like he was never going to score another goal (which he didn't).
They were both rubbish ultimately
Way too young! They’ll be better served going out on loan.Kavanagh & Finch are better. Play them.
Still better than Akpom. Anyones better than Akpom.Way too young! They’ll be better served going out on loan.
His success came early on though and that goals ratio was getting progressively worse as his performances were more and more anonymous.Well wilco, we’ll have to agree to disagree then…
Yes Akpom's Boro’s stats that season were certainly not prolific but he did contribute more than you say and IMO is undeserving of your ”rubbish” rating.
In 20 starts, he scored 5 goals (4 of which were match winners) and he assisted on 2 others. Overall, he scored one goal on the equivalent of roughly every 4 full matches on the pitch.
Before deciding to ship him out, I think CW will be open-minded enough to give the lad some playing time.
Again.. he was clearly not prolific overall on the scoring front. His success came early on though and that goals ratio was getting progressively worse as his performances were more and more anonymous.
I hope as much as anyone that he has some success but I don't hold out much hope. Once we bring in more strikers he's certain to be out on loan somewhere
Can’t really remember Akpom missing many easy chances for us to be honest, unlike some of our strikers last year. Some of this tomorrow would come in handy tomorrow Chubs.
