Wilder to be sacked imminently

looks like his contract will just run out and they will bring someone in to take the 1st team as soon as they can haha

He's a bit of an eejit for taking the Watford job in the first place. Was always going to end in tears.....and be another black mark on his otherwise impeccable CV.......

But the article is a tad incorrect as they will just let his contract run out and bring a new manager in - he won't actually be sacked and sounds like he will see the the season out with Watford writing any chance of promotion off.

Either that or he saw it as a shot to nothing.
I doubt he'll be too hurt by this tbh: he knew it was until the end of the season, so is it anything more than an extended trial, and someone they want has become available?

On the other hand, he has made Clough's reign at Leeds look lengthy.

News must be slow; as plenty of others have said he's due to disappear from Vicarage Road in 5 games time anyway.

Obviously they'd already be making moves for his successor, in fact Watford being Watford I'd be astonished if they weren't constantly hunting for their next manager.

Although him being given the big boot even before his short-term deal expires would be all the greater a heavy smudge on that CV of his. I was actually hoping he'd stay until the end of the season to tarnish his reputation even further with more turd results accompanied by his inevitable whinging, but if it has to be this way then Hey ho.
