Will Boris be back? ....

That money is peanuts in the grand scheme. Many Londoners I know were happy with Boris as Mayor, and let's be honest most of them voted for him at the last general election off the back of that....👍

Oh look the boards most tedious poster is arguing with an actual Londoner, about what Londoners think.

You may also want to look at the GE results for London, before embarrassing yourself further.

London is very much a Labour city now, Khan is popular, Johnson really isnt.

Johnson will very likely leave parliament at the next election - probably stepping down otherwise he will lose his seat.

He will write a book and do the lecture circuit and make a pile of cash, regularly appear on TV and snipe from the sidelines until even his current supporters get bored of him

.....says the bloke who boycotted Dyson until he wanted to purchase one of their £350 fans....If anyone wants to know what a champagne socialist is I'll refer them to you....

Probably one of the most embarrassing statements I've ever read on here 🤣

If found guilty of lying to Parliament he may no longer be a MP for much beyond September, the likelihood is he'd face at least a fortnight suspension which would trigger a 'recall petition' and if 10% of the electorate in Uxbridge and South Ruislip sign it then it would force a by-election as 47.3% of the constituency didn't vote for him last time then it's probable that would happen, there's no way he'd risk losing his seat so he could walk away then.

While he is still around up to, and after September there will be a massive push by Labour to open the box on the visits to Lebedev in Italy….given the timing of that visit re the attack in Salisbury.

I think the fact a govt minister accused another govt minister of fraud or allowing fraud to happen all on boris watch live on TV.

Is pretty damning in of itself

Until vast amounts of people stop getting their political thinking directly from the Mail, Express and Telegraph there is a good chance Johnson will be back in front line politics. He's not going to step down as MP I suppose and will continue to snipe and undermine whoever is PM in the background. He has form for that.

I worry that this committee's work will be an excuse for the right to go full Trump and call it a 'deep state far left conspiracy'. I don't think Johnson used the term 'deep state' as a throw away line. He will revel in being in the spotlight and if vindicated will be insufferable but if found guilty god knows what his fascist backers will resort to.

Boris ego will not let him leave the job unfinished , He has made grave personal decisions and tried to hide them by lying from the people he serves, He had to go ... this time . He is charasmatic and my 92 year old mum thinks " he has been hounded out" and loves him.... so do a great deal of other people ... he is off course toxic ... he is well at home on the stand at the commons , he is a elequent speaker and a complete wordsmith and he will be back ... let the dust settle for 5 years and bang hes back ....
In Boris we trust

That's what they would like to do but they find it difficult to make it stick as I believe that the majority of the committee are Conservative
