The select Committee have told him he will be under oath when giving evidence on misleading Parliament, which is a jailing offence if he purjors himself. This means he, probably will refuse to attend. This in turn means they will find him guilty which in turn means a recall. He may well step down before that. Problem with the petition is anyone can sign it - Tory member or not. I have signed it It emails some dude at Tory HQ. I used Johnson's email address and signed him up to the mailing list.

It is a farce but it is no surprise that the Telegraph never looked into it properly before publishing that online.
