Will Isaiah reach his potential at boro?

He looked scared shi.tless and couldnt wait to get rid of the ball
We know theres a top player in there somewhere but his confidence is shot
There isn't a top player in there, if Ramsay was fir and Forss fully fit, he wouldn't get a kick.

No blame on him, he gave his best, but just isn't good enough technically or mentally.

Move him on, and get a more 'Carrick' player in because we've had no options from the bench tonight.

Same for Crooks as well, good lad, good pro, not a CF, not a Carrick player. thanks, but move him on.

I’ve defended him in the past but it’s time to move him on. His first touch tonight when he sliced the cross into the north stand (to be fair he wasn’t the only one) sums him up.

He has too many rough edges and lacks professionalism. His non league upbringing shows and he’s not good or consistent enough for a top end Championship team.

Maybe I’m being too harsh after a tough night but can’t see a way back for him now.

I don’t think anyone is blaming Jones for tonight.. that’s undoubtably a collective responsibility, but a lot of people are seeing the same thing that he unfortunately isn’t a good enough player to do what Michael Carrick needs him to do.
I didn't see Forss doing much. I'd have started Jones and had Forss on the bench.

Get rid of him in the summer. Was so hoping the Issiah of old had returned after his performance vs Hull but he's done buggar all since despite being given a huge lifeline by Carrick.

He was dreadful tonight.

Jones has been awful all season, he's had plenty of chances, we're out of chances and it's time for him to go.
He had a 8 week spell where he created opportunities about 15 months ago, other than that little purple patch, the player we saw tonight, is the player he is.

I have been consistent in my view on Jones, often in the face of fierce criticism on here. My view hasn’t changed. I believe Carrick knows Jones isn’t good enough and he sees him more than any of us. He played Jones out of necessity because of injuries. As soon as players were fit again Jones was out. If Ramsey had been fit Jones wouldn’t have been on the bench tonight. Sadly a good 45 minutes against a tiring bang average Hull side once again made him the Middlesborough Messi for those who won’t ever accept he is anything other than top quality. I will take my lead from what Carrick thinks.

same, I agree

I agree with a couple of posts above, he’s too timid, but ultimately he reminds me of Traoré, loads of natural ability, but ultimately thick as a brick and can’t compute what people are trying to coach into him.

You lot are ridiculous sometimes. Are you really trying to blame that defeat on Jones? Pathetic.
We failed to score because Akpom and archer were poor. Nothing to do with Jones. We are as one on this.

Coventry were defensively very good but we had enough of the play to do better than we did.

Whether he is good enough or what Carrick wants is a different question, of course.

Again, nobody is blaming jones. He just isn’t good enough to compete at the level we are playing.

Akpom and Archer failed to score mainly because they weren't getting the service ...... a service Jones was brought on to provide but didn't, so it is something to do with him
