World T20 Final. Kiwis v Australia

They need to change the rules for the next World Cup. Far too predictable once you’ve won the toss!

Terrible WC won by the toss of a coin. It’s not the Aussie fault but IMO they are at least 5 better teams.

Yep, they must have been practicing the toss to land the right way. Peaking needs to be only minimal if you get to bat and chase in that climate.
Its not just "the climate". Check out the stats of the last two previous T20 WCs. They are similar in that the chasing team usually wins. As the players have got used to the format so that has evolved.

It needs a format change.

Mayb it could be like a mini test match and have 4 innings of 10 overs each so at least if you lost the toss you'd have that 3rd innings to assess the halfway situation and decide on what's a good score?

Australia won 6 out of the 7 matches they played in this tournament which, on the face of it, is a performance worthy of being crowned champions. They also won 6 out 7 tosses which, unfortunately, explains the previous sentence.
