This is true, but I've never seen another professional footballer misplace as many short passes under zero pressure as Cox did, and that's always stuck in my mind.

He went right off the boil for us. Great first season was good first half of the first Riverside season then for whatever reason his form plummeted!

I'd vote for Hoyte as our worst RB.

I'll second that. Not knowing how to take a throw in at Prem level is simply ridiculous, youth teams could take a throw in Ffs.

I don't know why the club persisted in letting him take them, it would be like switchng Alan Miller into the creative midfield role and putting TLF in goal for a game.

This may be controversial but there was nothing wrong with Ben Roberts IMO. He conceded the cup final goal but to me you’d be hard pushed to find a ‘keeper who wasn’t 12 or so yards off his line so early in a game. The fact an opposition midfielder could waltz through the middle of the field and launch a shot at goal - completely unchallenged - after 40secs was always the real issue. God knows what the rest of the team were doing.

It’s too easy and simplistic to blame goalkeepers. I haven’t seen every goalkeeper in the 147-year history of the club but I’m almost certain there’ll have been a poorer one than Roberts.

How has no one voted Walsh for Keeper. Watch the goals we concede the relegation season. absolutely dreadful. There is a very big reason we improve dramatically when the Big Aussie signs!

Geoff Scott (blond hair) came on loan from Charlton .... maybe Maddren or Lawrence not sure ... only played 2 games but was a chicken run fav ( bit like myself) was pitiful but only 2 games so not in the running
