Yet more….

Yeah, sadly the brexiters are going back to their main weapons here. Deflection and ignorance.

Which proves exactly how bad brexit is. The rabid brexiteers on here know how bad it is because they simply no longer want to talk about it. If there was any good points they would bring them up. The fact is they can't it's just deflect now. It's actually tragic
Using a bit of data in Spain is not tragic, the government you support killing old people in care homes is.

I say this from Valladolid walking along using their data.

I did as it goes well I read half of it before I realised the fella is trying to rewrite history - no agenda at all. I mean it stands to reason would you really trust this fella. Personally I wouldn’t trust him to feed a nut to a monkey let alone inform me on brexit.

I don't need to trust him, the facts are the facts. So let's go down the yes/no route. Do you accept that legally we were entitled (as every other member state is and was) as part of the EU to pursue our own vaccine strategy? Yes/no.

Using a bit of data in Spain is not tragic

Absolutely right it isn't tragic. It's just another example in a long, long list or problematic consequences of Brexit that keep getting added to one side of the scale. 5 year son there still isn't anything to be added to the other side of the scale and yet people keep defending it, keep believing in unicorns - that's a bit tragic.

To all the people here that were banging on about "use WiFi" when in Europe, I assume you don't have a data contract in the UK, seeing as you clearly don't need it?

The UK has better data coverage than most countries and I couldn't hack not having data, I go through about 20gb a month, although I would hope to halve that when abroad. That could still cost me 10k though at £1/mb, and some places are £5-£20/mb! Some providers have caps at £45 for precisely this reason, as people kept busting their data, but after that £45 it doesn't become free, you just get cut off.

Every time I've been to countries that were not included in my data travel plan (which was about £10) I had bills ranging from £150 to £1,200 for the month. Every provider will have to ditch those data travel plans now though, or massively increase their costs.

I've hardly ever had wifi coverage around pools, and certainly not on beaches, maybe the 50 countries I've been to are different to others on here.

For longer trips, I had to resort to using a MiFi device and getting a local sim, with 20gb of data, but the corner shops have your eyes out on this, about 10x the cost of my travel plan.

And no, it won't affect the EU the same as us, as we will simply get less tourism/ business, as the others have more choice in neighbouring countries, whereas our other choices are twice as far. The EU is a market we cannot avoid visiting, whereas most of Europe will happily avoid visiting the UK, more so in the future.

The O2 change, at least, appears to cap it at 25gb, which you are well below. After that it is £3.50 per GB, which isnt unreasonable.

Some other providers appear to be taking the **** a bit, but we can vote with our feet. I would imagine at least one will keep a reasonable roaming provision as it would be a huge attraction.

Admittedly ive not read the last 2 pages so if we are moaning about something else ignore all that

None of that makes any sense. If you think I support this government you’re an even bigger lunatic than most brexiteers . And that’s as big an insult as I can think of

Lunatic!!!! another one for the list. Cheers

I realise now, after reading so many posts on this board (mostly by my mentor Smalltown), that my failures as a former Brexiteer have been well and truly exposed.

I think they're being hit with higher costs themselves, so if one will be, they all will be, so they will all change their price structure.

I've not actually looked into the costs, but I'm on O2, I guess I'll just look when I'm next going away.

I don't think it will end up like Thailand, where I was being charged like £18/mb but can easily see this going back to £1-2, but that in itself is a ridiculous charge also, seeing how reliant the world is on data.

£3.50/ gb is better than £18/gb and 1000x better than £18/ mb, but either way it's another brexit loss for the UK.

Late to the thread but is it true that @SmallTown voted for Bojo and Get Brexit Done yet posts non-stop anti Brexit/Boris stuff on here?

Must be the most conflicted of chaps.
