Not feeling the Coronation at all…

Out of the entire barking mad insanity that was the coronation can anyone tell me why Penny Mourdant was involved dressed as a Roman imperial official and carrying a sword?
That and Princess Anne dressed up as Napoleon were my best laugh out loud moments as i wandered in to see what was going on.

What does ‘supported’ mean?

How in real terms?

Questionable at best

So did David Beckham, but I wouldn’t let him be exempt from laws, have input into bills, and be on the privy council, pay him millions of tax payers money

Not really a legacy, I’m sure there are plenty that didn’t admire her either. I mean just look at the West Indies views on monarchy.

As a physical legacy for 75 years of public money and privilege the above is pretty damned thin. In fact it’s negligible as most of it is ‘soft benefits’ at best. She didn’t put her own money into any schemes, she didn’t run any charities. She gave nothing back other than cutting ribbons and a speech once a year
You seem blinkered on others views that dont align with your own. I have accepted change if or were proof to be provided of your claims to be justified, but you just assume, no actual proof pure guess work. What have you done to progress your beliefs apart from post opinion on here, nowt is my guess.

Ooops, lost again.

I could say exactly the same for you. But instead I’d prefer we talk about the points not each other.

I asked you some straight questions, you avoided them and went personal. Take the L move on mate.

I’m a paid up member of republic and have been for years, paying into the pot to allow them to investigate royal finances and influence and publish reports on it. Don’t make yourself look such a spanner by making such silly assumptions about what I have done.

She shouldn’t have had sight or vet or change any laws. The argument for years was that she was a ‘ceremonial’ figure, she wasnt
Why did you post an angry emoji at this post, col?

Are you suggesting that no bill should be allowed to go before Parliament without the monarchs agreement after they’ve reviewed it and asked for amendments? I thought you said you were into democracy not autocracy!

Got fûcking ařseholes letting off fireworks in Ingleby woke up my daughter and the dogs petrified. Absolute selfish cůnts

She's hit the absolute jackpot Mordaunt hasn't she. Not sure what cabinet role she has that gets her these gigs but shes been stood near the front for the Queens funeral, Charles signing on, and then today. Whatever the role is there must have been loads of MPs that have done it for years and all its ever involved was sending agendas round for privy council meetings.

Well that explains a lot and why you are so blinkered. G'day

I thought the gold carriage was a bit emperor's New clothes too. I mean it looked tacky as ****. The sort of thing a footballer would turn up to their wedding in. It was pretty "bling" like 😂

But of course you wouldn't know it from the commentary. You'd think it was as classy and sophisticated as you could get.

We had a wonderful day yesterday and the weather stayed fine for us all day which allowed us to hold the party outside. I've even caught the sun on my baldy napper. ;)

One elderly gentleman with Alzheimer’s said he’s never had a drink for four years but asked if he could try one. With permission from his wife, he had two small Stella’s and said he enjoyed them. He stayed until 7.30 and his wife said it is the latest they’ve been out in years.

When the wind blew up we retired indoors and the last to leave left at 2 am.

We've just been taking garden chairs back and everyone thanked us for the effort we had put in. It wasn't about us though it was about the community pulling together.

And why did any of that require £250 million spunked to put a shiny hat on a bloke's head? You could have done it anyway.
