What you’re saying is that if I don’t hold Jedi’s worries then I’m delusional? You also profess to know what carricks feelings are?If you don’t think we’re in trouble after that yesterday then yes you are.
Btw I bet carrick is worrying as he’s no fool he knows exactly how bad we are.
No I’m saying if you after watching that yesterday aren’t worried then you are delusional, as it was shockingly bad. What you’re saying is that if I don’t hold Jedi’s worries then I’m delusional? You also profess to know what carricks feelings are?
Fine margins win football matches, Lath buries one of his chances and jones manages to square it and it’s a different result.
I agree we’ve signed impact sub players in attack at best (even last season) now asking them to start every game in a foreign league at level above what they’ve known.Firstly, I worked in an organisation that employed a small team of people to be pro-active on social media, their role to blend in and trying to control narratives, responding to negative feedback, throwing positive reasoning out to counter disquiet about the organisations performance. They posed as customers, such jobs really do exist, I regularly ask myself do Middlesbrough FC do this? I think so, being a multi million pound organisation with thousands of customers, why wouldn’t they have media trained employees spinning positivity where they can?
Right, someone mentioned hounding Carrick, most people telling it as it is want Carrick to stay not go. However, he is head coach and has to be accountable for some things, like team selection, substitutions, tactics in the live games.
We have signed 2 oven ready players in Dieng and O’Brien
Young projects with little to no Championship experience in Silvera, Rogers, Lath, Bangura, Engel, Glover, Greenwood, VDB, Gilbert.
Add to that the attempted return to the fold of Coulson and the inexperienced Coburn and the loss of huge quality in the final 3rd.
Recruitment may work out in the longer term, but is flawed for the here and now leaving the coaches fighting a huge tide from the off. Carrick, Woody, Danks and co have a real battle to turn raw recruits into Championship ready players ultra quick.
It should be no surprise to anyone the start we are having some of us saw this coming a mile off. A huge turnover will always bring issues, especially with so many young kids. For this reason, I would urge fans attending games not to boo like yesterday, young professionals wont have the confidence, poor results bring fragilities to the fore and only make things worse. Support at the Riverside and chunter on here, oneBoro or wherever is fine. Will the rara’s, the rose tinted spec brigade and the any occasional MFC media employee popping in just grow the feck up.
Carrick and staff have to pick the experience where they can and introduce the new boys gradually where they can, he needs to find a regular starting 11 and allow it to gel but accepting in some areas he can’t due to the recruitment done by Scott and team.
When fit, Dieng, Lenihan, Fry, McGree, Forss, Hackney, O’Brien start for now.
We have no choice but to start Lath, but someone needs to work closely on his finishing and learning to lift the ball (Archer style) in 1 on 1’s not roll it along the ground.
That leaves 3 places available LB, RB and either LW or the 10.
RB is an issue, for me I would try Howson there, if not Smith.
LB has to be Engel or Bangura Carrick needs to decide and stick with one of them.
That leaves the LW or 10 to sort as McGree can do either. Personally, I’d go McGree (Greenwood as understudy) in the 10 for now leaving the LW spot to fill. Jones, Silvera, Rogers or Bangura (dependant on LB choice) and I would go Jones for now.
Some serious coaching work needs doing with the new intake and then introduce them slowly (Rogers, Silvera being interchangeable as needed).
The CM has been all over the shop, not picking up opposition nor closing down. Their opening worldy was due to nobody closing him down, as was Swifts last week for WBA. Too many players are ball watching or getting dragged out of position to the flanks creating large pockets for the opposition to exploit. We need to get back to basics work on defending, positional roles, look at the formation and adapt accordingly for the skill set in the team. We need to stop conceding the first goal, that is a trait not just from this season btw.
Time and patience from fans at games is needed, purely for player confidence reasons, Carrick and co need to assess the reality coach their squad into a unit ready to battle every ball and end the powderpuff displays and if that means foregoing the open attacking style for now, short term, so be it. Results matter more right now.
There were fine margins though? No I’m saying if you after watching that yesterday aren’t worried then you are delusional, as it was shockingly bad.
There were no fine margins that was poor.
I thought in the millwall and Huddersfield games that was true but not Yesterday they weren’t we had nothing at all in mf.There were fine margins though?
You have got me if you were a politician you have my vote.Firstly, I worked in an organisation that employed a small team of people to be pro-active on social media, their role to blend in and trying to control narratives, responding to negative feedback, throwing positive reasoning out to counter disquiet about the organisations performance. We were poor yes but as I said if we had taken our guilt edge chances it will have been different.I thought in the millwall and Huddersfield games that was true but not Yesterday they weren’t we had nothing at all in mf.
Another side would have put 6 past us yesterday we were shocking.
Attacking midfielders, yes. Strikers, no.We have plenty of attacking players, enough for every position.
If we’re going for this.. then surely we have to take into account that we had Giles, Akpom, Ramsey and Archer at that time.. and they all needed changing out.19th April we last won in league
I think there is some truth in both points. No I’m saying if you after watching that yesterday aren’t worried then you are delusional, as it was shockingly bad.
There were no fine margins that was poor.
Don’t you think Lath, Coburn, Forss and Gilbert is enough for one position?Attacking midfielders, yes. Strikers, no.
I phrased the previous post badly.
NODon’t you think Lath, Coburn, Forss and Gilbert is enough for one position?
How many did Akpom have before last season? How many did Archer have? Have a bit of faith.NO
not al all
How many senior goals do they have between them ???
If If’s and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas (look it up if its over your head)What you’re saying is that if I don’t hold Jedi’s worries then I’m delusional? You also profess to know what carricks feelings are?

Archer was proven in the league at PrestonHow many did Akpom have before last season? How many did Archer have? Have a bit of faith.
I had an akpom related username, you can change it in settings it’s not difficult. If If’s and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas (look it up if its over your head)
Alternatively, if my granny had wheels, she’d have been a bike!
If I’d have only chosen 6 different lottery numbers I’d be a millionaire
I could go on, but in reality, you are so far off the mark in your spin you’d make Silvera’s shooting seem accurate.
You are described as a well known member, been with the board since May 2022, yet have the name Quicksilvera, intresting username choice given your board membership date!
Can you change username without admin doing it for you?
What was your original username last season?
Why the change as i doubt you saw Sammy Silvera’s signing for us 15 months ago?
Apologies for the suspicion, but I’m asking for a friend.
He was rubbish though in July last year according to 99.9% of boro fans and I include myself In that.Archer was proven in the league at Preston
Akpom played eng u21 came through arsenal played in champs league for a top flight side in Greece plus he also knew this league.
