I'd even bring Foakes on to bowl at them so they know what we are doing
Think it might have missed leg, but should have been checked.
If an umpire sees no shot played but pitching so wide can't make an informed judgement, do they ever ask for a review?Only hitting middle stump half way up!

Similar to stumpings which are usually umpire reviews after an appeal. Don't recall any umpire reviews except stumpings and run outs.I guess there would need to be an appeal first?

I like the rugby communication giving precise instruction as to what should be being looked for.Close to the ground catches and bump balls are classed as umpire reviews too I believe.
I think it's clear from this and other test matches that the DRS system needs better communication between the on field and third umpire. It was clear no shot was offered and should have been something the third umpire overturned.
There wasn't a whole lot of whinging about the pitch after the first Test
You’re missing the nuance of test cricket. It’s a shame for you. There wasn't a whole lot of whinging about the pitch after the first Test
LWB?Then gives him out LWB with a clear edge to try and make up for the decision.
Is there something about being Middlesbrough fans that makes everyone blame refs (or umpires) and the pitch?
Nobody said anything about the pitch or the umpire in the first test when Joe Root was apparently the greatest batsman since Don Bradman.
