I think they will enforce it. Surely they will want to protect their batsmen's confidence by not subjecting them to this deteriorating track. Also, conversely, why give England's spinners confidence? It makes sense to just crush us.india should be fined for producing a pitch like this. England need 23 to save the follow on. Will India enforce it. They probably will given that the wicket is already horrible.
Doubt it. They wouldn’t want to risk root getting in and setting a target of 100 or so. Think it would be a struggle to chase even 50 in the 4th inningsindia should be fined for producing a pitch like this. England need 23 to save the follow on. Will India enforce it. They probably will given that the wicket is already horrible.
You could bowl a Saturday village league bowler on that wicket and he'd pick up wickets. Crazy.a fantastic display of bowling from India.
its called a 'test' for a reason.
It's a day later and Root was turning it square...it's clear whoever won the toss would win this game and if you can't see that then there's no point in discussing any further! The Indians panicked as Kohli was on the verge of losing the captaincy and possibly losing the chance to play in the test champ final; obviously a lot of people have put money on it and couldn't afford to lose it- see the 3rd umpire decisions in England's innings for evidence of corruption. Been going on for years with the Indians.the english bowlers didnt - thats why India got over 320 runs ! in their 1st innings
Because there's always a chance someone might do something extraordinary; as with the Boro it's the hope that kills you. Pitches in next tests will be exactly the same; lets see how India do if England win the toss.desperate - after the toss, why did you bother watching it
Their using their feet betterAll about the toss over there. Always has been.
That said lets see how India fair in their second innings on a pitch worse than Englands meagre total.
IMO India are a better team than England. Their batsmen have better Test averages than out players and their bowlers perform better on these wickets.
Just about to post the same thing. It was close to LBW and again the umpires get it wrong.Another ridiculous umpire call! No way was a shot offered there.
Think it might have missed leg, but should have been checked.Just about to post the same thing. It was close to LBW and again the umpires get it wrong.
Both I'd say; the 3rd umpire 100%- he should've told the on field umpire there was no shot offered as he's put his bat behind his pad and then pushed forwards after it hit his pad.Umpires clearly on the payroll.
Or incompetent.
