Akpom to Ajax

5 year contract to play for a massive club like Ajax. Can’t blame him. Great for him and he deserves it.

Not the best fee in the world but not the worst either and I think we needed a resolution rather than let it drag on so overall I’m satisfied with the outcome and wish him well. Hopefully we can add even further to the squad on top of the 2 lads due to come in this week
 
Good for him. Sorry to lose him but would wish him nothing but the best. Balance of power in European football may have changed, but Ajax are still a massive club as far as I'm concerned and he's earned this.

Pivotal in some of the best football I've ever seen Boro play, and seems like a cracking lad. Cheers Chuba.
 
Good move for him; I can't blame him for taking that.

I'd like the to be higher, but I wouldn't pay £10m to Ajax if they let us loan him for a year for that fee, and that's basically the same as keeping him, isn't it?
 
Lets hope he passes medical else we have a player back and no tranfer kitty. I can see why lens are annoyed with his agent. I thought chuba would be more princpled than to let his agent behave that way.

The warning signs were when he said about his boro deal that… it’s not up to me

I know what you mean but a principled agent wont get you the best deal, they make estate agents and solicitors seem honest
 
Anyone been to the Amsterdam Arena? I have heard that it's not a great stadium design for atmosphere, and that Feyenoord's Tub is much better.

I always dislike following an overseas "big" club; it feels too much like foreign fans following Liverpool or Man U. However, I'll gladly follow Chuba's progress there.
