Anybody think this is going to be our season?

1) Good Manager, who likes to play attacking football and has achieved promotion to the PL before.
2) We improved last year even though we just missed out.
3) With the Spence and (looks like Tav) big money sales, we can spend big.
4) The three relegated teams are nothing special.
5) Great crowd backing.
6) Great Infrastructure!

I'm optimistic. Losing Tav so close to the season kick off is sh*t timing, and it would have been great to have all of our transfers sorted......but not to be.

5 weeks until the transfer window closes, money in the bank, team much improved.....keep clear of injuries and I'm very confident of having a good season.

One thing, can see it being a very competitive, very brutal season.....more than previous years.

Looking forward to it👍

I think we’ve been working on this coming season for the past 5 years.. since project Monk went pop.

If we get another 3-4 decent players in then I think anything is possible under CW. I always had a feeling that there would be a significant player turnover this off-season so to see the likes of Tav and others go then I’m not overly surprised. Whatever happens I’m sure we’ll be excited by the end product.

Hard not to be optimistic at the start of a season, especially the way things have been. We're obviously short (quite) a few players, I think it might be a case of try and start well and hope we don't lose too many players and then bring in reinforcements in January to get us over the line - but I hope we're looking at those reinforcements from the close of this window

The championship is strong this year. There’s no runaway on paper like Fulham.
But I also don’t think we will have any surprise teams doing well aka Huddersfield.

I think that there is a larger pool of equally good teams who could all be pushing.
All picking up points off each other, making it tight until the end.

Norwich, Watford, Burnley, sheff Utd, West Brom, boro.

Sheff Utd are my favourites.
Boro will be playoffs.

Honestly have no idea. Tav going without a replacement is a big blow. We'll obviously replace him before the window closes, but how many games in will that be and how long will it take them to bed in (if they're even good enough)? McGree might be the answer I suppose, but we're two injuries away from a crisis.

Same goes for the forwards.

I trust Wilder and think we'll be there or thereabouts, but does feel like we're going to be relying on catching up a bit. Which is obviously doable, but does make it harder.

No. We needed proven quality up front, and we have got rid of 2 of our Centre Mids.

I am happy with the additions of Lenihan, Steffen and Giles - Forss looks a canny signing but not the complete answer.

We need to replace Tavernier and get a proven scorer at this level otherwise top 6 is a pipe dream.

Mid-table again at the moment.
