Anyone think houchen will get back in?

Standing down after your name is already on the ballot is just irritating, especially in a local election with limited coverage and an inevitably low turnout.

There are still going to be wasted votes, her name is still there and there are going to be hundreds of people who will vote for the Greens anyway, without realising the candidate has stood down.

Houchen calling her pulling out "anti-Teesside" is laughable though.

But it will still increase the labour vote, especially if she can make the news more public

Turner was UKIP before he switched to Conservative. No doubt he will be off to Reform if he thinks it will benefit him.
That disgruntled ex conservative group leader bloke also said turner was passed over as pcc candidate as he was seen as unsuited but Simon Clarke appealed i.

of all the local elections I hope he is the one to be shown the door the most, absolute chancer and a horrible bloke.

Turner and his wife make my skin crawl. Really nasty leeches.

If I remember rightly, Andy Street is seen as having done a fairly decent job as mayor too, and doesn't have widespread corruption allegations.

Though there are more candidates to split the vote there, no Reform to siphon off the hard right voters here.
I wouldn't read too much into this. Houchen spends a lot more on social media advertising and has much more helpful local press. He has almost cult status.

His face is currently plastered all over the TAD Center in Berwick Hills around the main entrance and lobby area. Every window has one of his campaign posters inside and out including the window to the receptionist's office. He's going to be a hard shltstain to shift I think unfortunately!

Was charming at today's PMQs to see Simon Clarke ask one of those 'does the Prime Minister agree with me' jobs and proceed to blow a year's worth of Wilton emissions up Houchen's ar$e. Warning if you see any coverage online - it's not safe for work and it's not safe for home either. Mainly because you'll be sick all down yourself.
