The red faction sang more at full time than when the team actually needed them during the game
With Brighton, we were in the automatic promotion spot at kick-off and never left it at any point during the match.
We also scored, which is always going to increase the atmosphere.
Atmosphere in the South West upper was good.Gutted about the atmosphere tonight. Aside from the first 20 minutes it was flat, then it turned desperate and a bit toxic in the last 20. I really wasn't expecting that.
The atmosphere reflects what is happening on the pitch.Gutted about the atmosphere tonight. Aside from the first 20 minutes it was flat, then it turned desperate and a bit toxic in the last 20. I really wasn't expecting that.
Plenty of songs attempted in the north which then just got drowned out by the south wanting to stick with their own stuff. It just resulted in a fractured flat atmosphere for most of the game.Atmosphere in the South West upper was good.
The South stand are split , we can see and hear RF singing their songs
But further over the next 2 blocks are doing their best to get it going , but the drummer stops RF hearing the other fans in those blocks .
We are all on the same side , and if the whole end sing the same songs it would be quality .
Nit picking on a bad night for our club , the South stand is our KOP .
They need to be as one .
Couldn't hear the North Stand at all from South West , but could vaguely make out they were doing their bit .
Cov fans were loud , and I take my hat off to them .
Bad night , move on , we were not ready for the premier, hopefully next year we will be .
I would prefer watching Boro competing at the top of the championship than the bottom of the premier league .
Keep smiling .

I sit in the North and it was very loud tonight.Plenty of songs attempted in the north which then just got drowned out by the south wanting to stick with their own stuff. It just resulted in a fractured flat atmosphere for most of the game.
Like you say, we're all on the same side, but I feel the Red Faction and south stand are competing with the north and Twelfth Man (who give it their all every match).
What difference does it make .Gutted about the atmosphere tonight. Aside from the first 20 minutes it was flat, then it turned desperate and a bit toxic in the last 20. I really wasn't expecting that.
Blame somebody but the real culprits for the lack of 'atmosphere'.The red faction sang more at full time than when the team actually needed them during the game
Even before kick off it was really flat the flag displays were meh as wellAtmosphere was awful tonight
He was irritating me when he turned the music down and said "25 minutes to kick-off, let's hear you Boro fans" then immediately tuned the volume back up to a ridiculous level.Thought the music pre-match completely killed a lot of the atmosphere which could have been building before kick off. It was like he was purposely trying to drown everyone out, it was so loud
Was weirdly flat in the fanzone. Was in there for half an hour and not one song was sung.Even before kick off it was really flat the flag displays were meh as well
The atmosphere has been poor all season in my opinion. Even when we went on that run at home the atmosphere was flat at games.I don't generally sit in the South Stand. I normally go in the SW Corner so I may be way off the mark here, apologies if so.
To me it seems like the RF are in their own little group just doing their own thing. Not really interested in getting the songs going with everyone else and I think it's maybe became more like that this season. Quite often now one end of the South Stand will be singing one song and the RF are singing things like " f*ck sky sports and the modern game, we all hate Leeds scum " for example. There's not as much of a unity and I think it's had a negative effect on the atmosphere this season.
They do some brilliant things for the club as a group with the banners and displays etc and I think their efforts with these sorts of things are appreciated by Boro fans. I just wish we could get the atmosphere back to what it was.
