It's the parents that I find most depressing. Announcements saying please don't go on the pitch, yet they teach them it's ok to ignore any authority and encourage them on
 
I despised the football grounds of the 70s and 80s. Fans left feeling like animals trapped behind wire mesh fences. Those fences created an 'us and them' attitude where once fans were treated like animals some would behave as such.

Those idiots yesterday will take us one step closer to a repeat of that approach if it doesn't stop now and they are not punished in some way. What if every child wanted to run onto the pitch what would happen then? Stupid selfies with players then grinning, job accomplished, run back to the seat without any punishment. FFS MFC sort this out now!

They must be on CCTV. Fathers and sons, ban them for so many games next season, remove their season tickets, do something otherwise the vast majority of well behaved fans, like me, will suffer the consequences of their selfish, immature, attention seeking behaviour.
 
1 season ban for dad and lad. Wouldn't have had the cheek to do it when I was younger. Dad would've absolutely bolloxed me n all.

Missing one season won't be fun but it might make him think next time. Might make dad think twice too as he's responsible for the kids behaviour due to his age.

During our game on Saturday against Stoke City a child entered the field of play while the match was in progress, trivialising the importance of the game to our fans, town, players and management.

He was encouraged to do so by his father who recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

On returning to his father our staff asked that they exit the stadium, only to be subject to abusive and threatening behaviour.

Entering the pitch while the game is in progress will not be tolerated.

Abusive and threatening behaviour to our staff will not be tolerated.

To enter the pitch at any time is a criminal offence as is abusive and threatening behaviour.

The father and child have been identified and with immediate effect the father is banned from the Riverside Stadium for life.

We will encourage the police to take further action.

After the game four further incursions took place by children. All of whom have been identified and whose parents face banning orders from the Riverside.
 
Club have identified the people involved and banned the father from the club for life (he not only encouraged his child to enter the pitch but when confronted by stewards afterwards abused them)

I'm surprised at people supporting invaders like the tossser who ran into the South Stand and was shielded by supporters in the area from stewards.
 
Good, glad the club has taken a firm stance. I teach my 8 year old son that actions have consequences, this idiot father who filmed his son running onto the pitch is obviously why we have so many brain dead chavs in our towns and cities. Sh@t parenting
