I think it was always going to be the case that the more established signings would be tougher to do and take longer in doing so.

So far I love what the club is doing - we might need to be patient with one or two, but it's always exciting to see young players develop.

Goalkeeper - Seny Dieng
Left Back - Ryan Giles
Striker - Liam Cullen
Defensive Midfielder - Max Bird

Pleased to read they have plans to bring in some experienced players as we don’t know a bucket load about the ones we have signed so far, all look good prospects, but the Championship is somewhat unforgiving as we know. Given 9 subs on the bench this year, we should have lots of cover for when needed. Rogers looks a real prospect and at 6’3” offers an extra dimension we’ve been lacking.

Isn't this a "done deals" thread and not a speculation thread?

Kind of defeats the object of people being able to see who we've actually signed don't you think?

Agreed. I think these will be players with potential but possibly not day 1 reliability. They have been so obscure so far that even @newyddion hasn't had them in a fantasy lineup.

- Deng - ready made
- Glover - reserve
- Van Den Berg - backup to Fry-Lenihan partnership and possibly backup to Smith at RB for more game time and development
- Gilbert backup to Akpom
- Morgan Rogers - possibly first team ready
- Silvera backup to Rogers / job share

First choice LB, CDM and CF to come in. Possibly a specialist RW to push Forss back to backup CF

In all this excitement with young players coming in we mustn't forget the young talent already in the academy who will be fighting for attention with the newcomers. All good healthy competition to push them on.

Interesting you say Forss pushed back up to CF.. Silvera was wearing a number 21 on his training top..

Marcus Forss to wear the number 9?

Cameron Archer had the number 10 last season..

If Bola goes do we need 2 left backs? Or do we have anyone good enough from the academy who can act as cover when we sign a first choice left back?
According to transfermarket Van Den Berg can play left or right back as secondary positions, so he could possibly be cover?
