Boro Shop Q and A

My guess is they aren't lazy, they are cheap. We have the lowest service level offered for everything. We use competent suppliers and services but are getting the equivalent of the free but ad-riddled service when a small monthly fee would improve service levels for customers. Just means we're at the back of the queue for re-supplies.

Presume we do the same for our finance modelling which is why they can't handle ticket deals and they can't fill the stadium.
I think i agree with that but I think the cheapness extends into laziness in the corporate sense.

It is like Tony Mowbray has wandered into every office throughout the club and put a 'it is what it is' sign on every wall.

I would imagine it is infuriating for anyone who is qualified and experienced who ends up working there. Matt Emmerson started doing focus groups when he was at the club to engage with fans probably a decade or more ago. I bet they don't exist any more. The club would much rather pay lip service after the event than be pro-active.

There were loads of scarves in the week before Xmas - and jumpers - I reported back on this on this message board. So they must have sold out in Xmas week. Which happens. But a week before Xmas there were at least 3 types of Boro scarf and hat available to buy. And gloves also.
I'm sorry but a full shelf of products doesn't equate to enough stock.

You have no idea from your retail experience as a potential customer as to whether they have enough stock.

It's important for me when these questions are put to the club, then we are not fobbed off with supplier issues with the kits ! Because plenty of other clubs who are branded with errea are fine for stock QPR being an example.

I have never in my life had to buy an XXXL, but had to yesterday. Boringly consistent XL, some items "fit" some baggy......😳
Also, online shows all products that size sold out but they are available in the club shop 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
If I hadn't been home and able to bob in the shop I'd have wasted £10+ on postage and packaging as an XL was waaaay too small. Then the same for an XXL.
Surely the club listening to the fans issues (seems to have been quite a lot this season) and responding/acting would be the least they can do? Let's see.
