Buckfast ( the drink ) ?.

My Irish mate used to drink it when we were at uni, late 90s.

Only other ppl I've seen drinking it were tramps!

Had it a number of times when I was in my early 20s, didn't mind it at all.

That was back when I hated wine too, I'd not sure whether I'd like it more or less now that I enjoy red wine.

Yep, as above… had a night in Glasgow with some lads we knew, Buckie wine everywhere, can’t remember a thing

I have only heard of it through the Scottish underground rap/grime scene, I had to Google what it was when I first heard it mentioned.

Very popular over here in N. Ireland a lot of the young ones have a bottle before going out, also used to be in the optics in a bar I used to go in, the more classy customers would have it on the rocks

Had it many a time when alongside in Scotland.
Buckie is English, but there used to be a similar drink made north of the border called Eldorado. "Hey pal, gi' us a bottle of El D by the way" was a pained cry often heard coming from the Helensburgh branch of Oddbins.

When I worked up in Motherwell, a local told me that it was added to babies bottles, to make them sleep😵‍💫

I've tried Bucky on the way back from games in Scotland, not to my palate but popular with quite a few on the buses.

A Glaswegian mate of mine picked up a drunkards breakfast pack from an off licence, a bottle of El Dorado with a can of Charger Lager cellotaped to it.
