Compulsory vaccination for NHS staff members

Bill smokers for lung cancer? Bill drinkers for liver problems? Bill overweight people for just about any problem? It’s not an approach I’d like to take personally.
I suspect you know my answer to those is no, but it is not an area i have suggested going into with those things. Those things are self inflicted and don’t generally harm others, just themselves. Covid-19 gives someone the opportunity to infect and kill others as well, there is a difference.

The vaccination uptake in London is very low compared with the rest of the country.

London:
First dose 51%
Second dose 30%

North East:
First dose 70%
Second dose 47%

UK:
First dose 75%
Second dose 48%
That it's very interesting bear, assuming the same availability.

I presume there must be or there'd be vociferous complaints from London.

I don't know if there is an age demographic difference?

PS - London has a lower median age than the rest of the UK. May make up done of the difference.

London's population is comparatively young; the average (median) age in London is 35.6, compared to 40.3 in the UK overall. More than one in 10 people living in Inner London (11.4%) are aged between 30 and 34. This compares to just 6.3% of those in the rest of England.

I live in the south and I have spoken to a couple of black people who won't get vaccinated. They generally don't want to talk about why, so I can't give any more information than that.

So does smoking. I just don’t think we should be breaching this kind of territory personally. It’s a very slippery slope in my view.

Smoking can harm yes we know that, but i would sooner sit in a smoke filled room for an hour rather than a covid filled one, how about you? I can move away from smokers, they are easily identifiable, not so covid-19 spreaders. Covid-19’s harm is far more instant than tobacco exposure as I am sure you realise. I am surprised you chose to equate the two actually but i appreciate it raises debate 👍
