Why?I guess the Proof in the pudding is whether messi could’ve done it around Europe in challenging leagues . Guess we’ll never know

Decent pointThe thing with this is, its not like Ronaldo has gone around Europe playing for smaller clubs and dragged them to greatness. He has played in a fantastic United team, arguably the biggest club in the world in Real Madrid and then a Juve team who have won the league every year since 2011.

A good point yes, but couldnt the same be levelled at managers, Mourinho, Pep etc all they've managed are great clubs with wealth, 4 managers in my lifetime, Cloughy built teams up from nothing, Shanks at Liverpool too, while Revie did the same at Leeds & a lesser extent, Ferguson at Man UtdThe thing with this is, its not like Ronaldo has gone around Europe playing for smaller clubs and dragged them to greatness. All about opinions Block, I would put Ronaldo as above Messi, though as mentioned, hardly anything between them in terms of ability, medals, trophies, records etcHilarious that people say stuff like guess we will never know what Messi could do in other leagues, have you seen him in the champions league single handledly demolish big English and Italian teams at times. He’s the best ever no question.
Spot on erimusAll about opinions Block, I would put Ronaldo as above Messi, though as mentioned, hardly anything between them in terms of ability, medals, trophies, records etc
Probably the only two players I would sit down & be interested to watch though

90 goals in a game is indeed amazing. Which match was it?Holds the record of scoring a goal in every single minute of a game, unreal, IMHO the best in the world at present)
This was mentioned on a documentary about him
I don't actually find Ronaldo anywhere near as entertaining to be honest. No more so plenty of other elite players anyway. But he is ruthlessly efficient and you can't not admire that.
Messi is an artist though.
In terms of who is the best, there's not much in it. I lean towards Messi, but there's valid arguments either way.
But I can't understand people saying they'd rather watch Ronaldo. Messi is more entertaining by far. The dribbling, range of passing, the variety in his finishing. Ronaldo on the other hand is all about power.
All about opinions of course, but give me Messi any day.
Borobuddha, I am not sure he is a narcassist. He does an awful lot for charity and I believe works incredibly hard on the training field. It is no accident he is one of the best players in the world, ever. He does come across as a snidey tw@t though. I cannot help but dislike him, even knowing all I do about him.Snidey narcissistic cheat.
