Disappointed in Azaz

I think he'll turn out to be a very good signing for us He's similar to Rogers - you can see he has ability and it will fall into place in the coming weeks.

Great bloke too. He used to spend his Wednesdays off at Plymouth volunteering at a local hospice without publicising it.

I don’t agree he’s similar to Roger’s.. I don’t think he has that natural ability to run and beat a man, you can see Roger’s was a rough diamond… I don’t think Azaz has the natural ability Roger’s showed

I've made a few posts with all the insight of a blow hard lunatic.

I saw signs in that 2nd half that he can play, that weight of pass that he drops just in behind is outrageously good.

I see a player there.
Looks promising far better than greenwood up there good touch weight of pass and vision but lacks pace to play at the highest level. Should never have started out wide

Fans sometimes fail to appreciate how moving distances to a strange area with new teammates takes time. McGree took a few games before he started to show his worth. Some don’t settle at all. Muniz was probably one. There are many examples.

I liked him in the second half.

He was poor in the first, but I don't think many players came away with any credit in that first half.
That was partly down to the manager's team selection.

Ridiculous to write him off. He'd moved in Jan from a club he's spent part of 2 years at on loan. Also to the opposite end of the country.

I imagine it's difficult. Also signing for us bang in the middle of a poor run and no doubt low in confidence. Also not having a CF in front of him.

He's shown 'flashes'. Although it's hardly helped asking him to play in a completely different position / role than the one he had at Plymouth. Absolutely no point playing him on the left. I'd argue play him at No10 or not at all. Just hanging him out to dry.

I probably did expect a bit more. Just presumed if you've been ripping it up in the same league then that would just continue. Yet clearly so many 'variables' in moving to a new club. It may well be next season before we see him at his best.

We've plenty of 'issues' worse than the form of a new signing. Midfield / Defence and no CF to name a few 🙄

Absolutely. As few other have said it’s churlish to expect him to start motoring immediately but what I saw in the second half was enough to know he’s a good player.

I get the impression his confidence is on the low side. It happens to alot of players when they move club. At the moment he looks as bit lost at times. He needs to score a couple of goals, then we will see a different player.

He was class second half, should never ever be played out wide. He set up 2 great chances for Greenwood and his touch/layoff for Hackney in the build up to another chance we had was outrageous.

It's very easy to see why he did so well at Plymouth. Vision, touch, weight of pass and dribbling is all very good/outstanding, he just lacks a bit of pace and strength, we need to get him on the ball in the right areas of the pitch with the right players moving around him with pace. I can see him playing Jones and Latte Lath in behind a lot when we get them back.

McGree and Azaz as the creators behind Latte Lath or Forss with Jones out wide would be exciting to watch.
