God help us...Jones, Azaz, McGree, Lath… that’s an exciting front 4 for me. If we can get them all fit!

No Forss? The most profiliffic player in the squad this season!
God help us...
Don't worry, he thought the same about McGree.Yeah yeah… we know Azaz has “no talent or ability” etc
I'm still not a big fan of McGree, but such is the state of our squad right now I would definitely have him as a nailed on starter in our side and signed on a new contract too.Don't worry, he thought the same about McGree.

The squad IS so short of quality right now.
Kieran Scott has signed 21 of the 29 players currently on the Club First Team website.
Howson, McNair, Dijksteel and Crooks (about to leave) were signed before his time.
Fry, Howson, Jones and Coburn are the U21 products.
We are 12th, with a 0 Goal Difference. We are rank average.
We have momentum - in the wrong way. We have won 4 of our last 12 league matches and won 1 in our last 7 home matches, losing 4 times.
Scott has signed 14 players for fees, 6 on Frees and 12 Loan players in his 5 transfer windows at the club.
He is an active lad. It is very much his squad now.
How anybody can look at that squad on the club website and feel we are in encouraging shape is beyond me.
Yesterday was pathetic. The players and manager are getting and deserve pelters, but look at what Carrick is working with too.
Scott has just signed a left back in the window, after signing 3 in the summer. Carrick doesn't start the new one, despite his relative pedigree. (He looked far better than the useless Engel when he finally came on.
Carrick plays Greenwood and Hackney out of position, to accommodate Barlaser. We have a lad who can play striker in Forss who is wide right when we have no other CF.
Scott sells Rogers and Crooks, the number 10's, buys another punt in Azaz, but Carrick plays him wide left, while McGree warms the bench?
Howson is done, McNair will be gone. McGree wants away and Jones needs a new deal or will be sold too.
The squad swirls in mediocrity, they have been unlucky with injuries, but it doesn't help when players and manager continues to routinely shoot itself in the foot.
It is impossible to criticise a man who has just written off £107m, taking his overall spending in the club to £197m in funds unquestionably invested into the club. He is also owed another £40m or so in remaining Group Undertakings. I don't and don't want to criticise his commitment.
But he's lost all that money because of the decisions he has made, or have have been made by the people he has empowered.
It took working with Peter Kenyon to get him on the right tracks to promotion and a new start in 2016, but he broke ties and spectacularly bungled that new start.
I absolutely agree that there needs to be a high calibre Director of Football in charge of Football strategy at the club. Gibson can't be that and Bausor is an administrator.
But we have Kieran Scott - as close to what we require from that Director of Football, as Banana Boots is to being the solution wide left, or anywhere else on the pitch, or Engel is to left back, or Barlaser is to CM, or Latte Lath is to CF.
So we have a very large mid table Championship squad and a "model" in the hands of a man so comfortable it seems that he is beyond challenge.
Sadly as this team continues to drift along, supporters will get more agitated, or stay away and the pressure will start to mount on Carrick. The inevitable will happen and Gibson will sack the wrong man.
We will be left with Mr Untouchable and a new manager working with a squad of misfits.
Rinse and repeat.
I don’t think any of our players were “excellent “ yesterday he did well in places but certainly not excellent.Just Watched the extended highlights and thought Azaz was excellent in the second half. He created a number of chances with some excellent through balls.
That’s some amount of guff.I'm still not a big fan of McGree, but such is the state of our squad right now I would definitely have him as a nailed on starter in our side and signed on a new contract too.

Always happy to be polar opposed to you and your gormless mate AytonMews. That’s some amount of guff.

Thought Azaz was really bright second half, which was encouraging.
The lad can play in tight areas for sure.
That was your first mistake, assuming I have mates.Always happy to be polar opposed to you and your gormless mate AytonMews.
I can’t put my finger in it but you write like a man who is friends with somebody who used to be involved with the club and there’s a little beef on your part maybe on his behalf. Could be wrong but you do appear to have a chip on your shoulder at times.I'm still not a big fan of McGree, but such is the state of our squad right now I would definitely have him as a nailed on starter in our side and signed on a new contract too.
