Disappointed in Azaz

Always find it funny how people expect all new players in a team to just suddenly light up the world, especially in the Championship.

I can’t put my finger in it but you write like a man who is friends with somebody who used to be involved with the club and there’s a little beef on your part maybe on his behalf. Could be wrong but you do appear to have a chip on your shoulder at times.
Cardiff you are wrong, there is no "could be" about it.
I have no chip on my shoulder about anything I'm aware of.
I'm lucky to be comfortable and with a smashing family and friends.

I just have no problem challenging things.

I think he just gives an honest opinion and it's hard to disagree with most of what he's written. I do like McGree but apart from that I pretty much agree with the rest of the post.

I just think Indeedido, like me, says what he sees instead of trying to put a positive spin on every player or every decision.

This squad has gotten weaker. It's blatantly obvious. Next season is very worrying. If we recruit in the same way as we have over the last two windows, we are in deep sh1t

I try to avoid the general "everyone was shight and a waste of money" nonsense after a defeat and rubbishing Azaz definitely falls under that category. First half he was playing in a midfield which was all over the place, tripping over each other. No one played well, certainly not a player only recently added to the team. Second half (and at this point the "everyone was shight" lobby will point out that Brizzle were "sitting back") he and the rest of the team were much better we saw some lovely incisive through balls that at the feet of a "striker" might have been better used and some nice little Akpomesque flicks. Too early to judge but there is something there.

“A player in there”

Let’s hope we aren’t still posting that in a few months or I’ll get upset remembering Ashley Fletcher stinking the place out for years whilst we waited for him to “come good”.

Yes, let's.

That's rather the point. He isn't an unknown quantity at this level so I don't see any reason why he won't be a success here. I suspect that rather like a few players this season he has been playing rather earlier than we would have preferred due to injuries and departures. I don't see any evidence of an "attitude" so yes, let's do that.

It’s a step up in terms of expectations from Plymouth to us though. I hope he makes the step up but nothing is certain.

Barlaser looked excellent in a rather poor Rotherham team at championship level. Most would say he isn’t doing it consistently enough here though.

A team a mere three places below us in the table.

I think it is fair to be disappointed with Barlaser, he's been here long enough and been no more than adequate. Again though people see what they want to see. Confirmation bias innit.

He mostly played on the left of a midfield 3 for Plymouth. We don't play with 3 in midfield so we're asking him to completely re-train a new position aswell as with new team mates.
How many times have we signed a player and then not played them in the position or a system that they've been doing well in, just hoping they can adapt into our system and then we whinge when we don't see the same outcome and same good performances.
